He's no more of a "bad" actor than Arnie. The sum of their appeal lies beyond merely their ability to emote a textured performance. Not everyone can get away with it, though. Yes, technically, they aren't masters of the craft, but somehow with the right material and director, it comes together quite nicely.

Agreed.

And the evil bastard Keanu plays in The Neon Demon -- man, he nailed that role, small as it was. Whenever he was on screen, I just feel like going to take a shower.

It's a decent film, but it's wildly overrated.

Another unpopular movie opinion:

Saving Private Ryan wasn't even the best WWII movie that came out that year. The Thin Red Line was.

WWII movie?

All those films you’ve listed are great and better than Saving Private Ryan.

Things move fast around here. We’ve moved on from just WWII movies in 1998 to all of 1998.

I probably shouldn’t have even commented though. I’ve never really liked any war movie that wasn’t in space.

It was certainly disappointing considering how great the last few Marvels have been.

I would rather eat a box of rusty, crooked nails than have to sit through Boyhood again. I too aged 14 years watching it.

Thank you, someone else out there agrees with me. Infinity War was absolute trash, same goes for almost all of the other Marvel movies.

It's only harmless if others don't try to copy it. The problem is how influential it is, and others are trying to copy this weightless, emotionless crapfest that is the MCU.

Whenever this forum derides a film I'm looking forward to watching, I know I'm in for something special, lol.
