Well, if it comes across HBO when I'm just chilling out or something, maybe I'll give it a chance. I was not really impressed with TFA -- thought it was very mediocre; and I absolute despised TPM.

And you're talking to someone who saw the original film 12 times in the theater.

The original was my favorite before TLJ. TFA, while I like it, is just a rehash. And TPM...yeah that’s not a good movie at all.

I've said this before, and there are a lot of problems with TPM, but I don't think I've ever seen an actor or actress look so utterly bored as Natalie did in that movie. She looked like she was at the driver's registration.

And of course it was essentially Keira's first movie. Then you have the Jake Lloyd problem.

If nothing else, the casting itself was an utter disaster (despite Liam and Ewan).

Interested to see the response this gets. Probably the most unpopular opinion I hold is that David Lynch hasn't done anything worth watching since Lost Highway.

I'm not even sure how to answer this. It seems ... incomprehensible.

And I also don't want to get banned again.

You'll either love it or it'll make you want to put your foot through the television. It's that kind of film.

Well, I should search it out because I usually really like very divisive films.

Like, even if I don't pay much attention to RT, the ones that I see have 50%-60% ratings are often my favs.

You need to see Mother!. You'll love it or hate it. But you really should see it.

I have yet to see Passengers or Red Sparrow. So can't comment on those.

BTW: I thought Apocalypse was pretty mediocre. But that was hardly J-Law's fault. It was a mediocre script and mediocre execution on the direction side.

Personally i think David Lynch is overrated full stop. Blue Velvet is sort of interesting and Dune was a beautiful mess but that's pretty much it.

Same, during that time she was stunning and so down to earth, then she decided to doll herself up in thick makeup and seems like she disappeared up her own arse.

I love Lynch, but I can't stand Blue Velvet, Eraserhead or Dune x

Twin Peaks is still the best tv series of all time!

Passengers is terrible, mostly because off Pratt's atrocious performance, but it's just dull beyond that.

RS is entertaining drivel, wtf is Apocalypse?

Whaaat?

The touching The Straight Story? The brilliant Hollywood phantasmagoria Mulholland Drive??The half-creepy, half-hilarious and wholly genius Twin Peaks: The Return???

Of course you're welcome to your unpopular opinion, and by way of researching Lynch's post-Lost Highway work came across a short he'd done for Dior titled Lady Blue Shangai with the ethereal Marion Cotillard which I may never have discovered otherwise...so thank you much, SleazyForWeasley!
