I’m thinking the Dolphins will be completely average with their average coach and average QB. This will continue for the average amount of time until another coach and/or QB are brought in who will maintain the average. Nothing to hate, nothing to get excited over, like a bowl of plain rice.

Kenny Golladay played over Golden Tate in two-wide sets during Friday night's preseason game against the Giants.

The Lions ran seven two-wide sets with the starters on Friday (eight if you include a false start penalty by tight end Michael Roberts) with Golladay lined up opposite Marvin Jones on every snap. Coach Matt Patricia downplayed the significance of Golladay playing over Tate after the game. "We're just trying to get the play counts out there and we're going in and out of different personal groups, so we have it kind of sketched out that way." The Lions used two-wide personnel on less than 20 percent of their snaps last year, so even if Golladay starts outside, Tate will still get plenty of slot reps. Regardless, all signs point to a second-year breakout for Golladay, who was limited to 11 games as a rookie in 2017.

Orleans Darkwa probably the best of those slim pickings. Need to wait till cuts, some half-decent RB good for 5-10 carries a game will get cut.

Agree that Darkwa's probably best but Charles might have the inside track due to history with Smith. I don't think AP has much left to offer, but who knows, maybe he's got one magical season left in him.

None of it really matters without a good O-line and a TE who can actually block/stay healthy.

Wish I could sign a one year contract with an NFL team. I’d be a great backup punter. I’d carry the punting clipboard and wear the punting headset. That starting punter would get so much support.

Adrian Peterson's deal is a one-year deal for the veteran minimum with no guaranteed money, so there's almost no risk for the Redskins in the signing. If he makes the team he'll make $1.05 million but only count $630,000 against the cap since teams get a benefit when they sign veterans to minimum salary deals.
