I'm torn. I am very anxious to see Revenge in 3D but I was hoping Amazons pre-order price would have gone down more by now. I only paid $19 for the Frankenstein collection. I do want to support the restoration of older 3D titles,

it's a longshot but COSTCO has carried all of these Universal Collections up to this point. Hopefully they do the same with the Creature and Invisible Man collections....

I'm thinking of canceling my pre-orders from AMZ & waiting for those prices!
I've canceled both of mine for now ... will wait it out for now for lower prices!

As much as I like my big screen 3D 4k passive TV, I'll be watching this on my PSVR instead. I always struggle to get in the best centered "sweet spot" with the TV, and with the PSVR I'm always perfectly centered for the best 3D, not to mention the IMAX sized screen So Revenge will be 2 firsts in one for me: 3D and big screen.

Whenever I have friends over, my number one Go-To PSVR 3D demo is the first Creature, the opening scene with the fossilized hand sticking out.

Just pre-ordered the Creature and Invisible Man sets. Don't care about the cost. What's the point in working like a dog if I can't enjoy the stuff I really love? I want these two sets, and on Tuesday both will be in my possession. And you know the first movie I will be watching. It's a no brainer.

But if The Invisible Man set arrives first, what movie will you be watching ?

I ordered them from Target last month when they had a $20 off $50 coupon.

subtotal (2 items): $54.98
discounts: -$21.74 (Save $20 off a $50, REDcard 5% Discount)
tax: $2.58
total: $35.82

I was planning on ordering the 30-disc set from Canada, but this worked out to about $16.62 for each for the Creature and Invisible Man sets.

Preposterous! They are arriving at the same time, on the same day. I pay for Prime, and Prime has yet to disappoint me. Prime is my friend, albeit a paid friend, but a friend, nonetheless.

However, in the event your scenario [CHUCKLES IN DISBELIEF] somehow comes to pass, the Invisible Man set will be placed on a shelf somewhere and will remain unopened until after my eyeballs - covered with active 3-D glasses - view Revenge of the Creature in actual three dimensional glory. In fact, I may close my eyes after I post this post, and keep them closed until Tuesday when my package arrives.

I hear ya but I figured I've paid a similar price for other 3D movies in the past and for about the same price I'm getting two additional movies. I honestly can't wait to finally see Revenge in 3D that it's worth the premium. No regrets on this purchase. I'll wait for the Invisible Man set to drop though.

Maybe your passive TV is too high off the floor? I have a 2016 LG UHD passive 3D set and I have no issues with "sweet spots", as long as I"m sitting down at a proper level. Your eye level should be about centered with the screen vertically when sitting. Horizontally isn't as important as long as it's a reasonable degree. The far left and far right of my couch are both just as good as the center for 3D, without any "sweet spot" issues. Many people mount their TVs too high on the wall or on a stand that's too high. That's a problem for passive 3D.

As far as price, $30 is reasonable for a classic 3D restoration, so I have no idea why people are complaining about price. I've paid that for other classic 3D films, so who cares that they're getting the first one again, or the 3rd one in 2D?. The fact is you're getting a newly-restored classic 3D film in 3D for $30 which is not at all unreasonable.

unless you don't have a 3D tv. if they included the red/blu glasses version so anyone could watch in 3d then great but that isn't the case so for someone like me i'm paying for something i can't use.

Yeah, waiting months to save $8 when this set is already super cheap for how many movies it contains? No thanks!

The whole purpose of this release is so people can enjoy the movie the way it was meant to be seen. The red/blue anaglyph version is not how it was supposed to be seen, or even should be seen. It really doesn't work, and every movie I watched this way looked terrible.

Maybe you should hold off buying it until you have a 3-D set-up?

I've always favored ordering well-loved movies when they are announced, instead of waiting for months to save a few dollars. The money that I would save by waiting is usually a negligible amount, and I don't have to take the chance on an item going out of print.

I pre-ordered both of these sets from Amazon Prime as soon as they were announced, and the end result low price will be fair. Maybe not as low as what these movies will go down to in a year or two, but nonetheless fair. That's what I would expect for discs that will bring me joy for many years.

I'm not knocking those who wait in order to save money or who wait for a price point. In fact, that sort of fiscal restraint is commendable. Our priorities all vary and our priorities all change. An annual property tax increase, a job change, or a new vehicle could always put me into the "wait for a price point" mentality at the drop of a hat...or even force me to find a less expensive hobby altogether.
