I used MoviePass Tuesday night to pay for "Summer of '84". I just drove past the theatre on my morning commute to work, checked in while at the red light, and bought my ticket through the theatre's online ticketing. IDGAF anymore.

Something is screwed up with my app right now, but in a good way. Every showing to every regular movie is still showing up as being valid to check into (even the foreign films). Even when I leave a theater listing to look up another listing, nothing non-premium is greyed out.

Sounds like the app is glitching/failing spectacularly and people are using it the OG way to see whatever they want. Should be quite a poo storm in the morning at MoviePass offices.

Oh, absolutely. I guarantee they aren't going to offer this to everyone using their app. They might offer it to everyone that messages customer service about it, but for the people that might not see 3 movies a month, or for those who simply don't care to inquire, they're gonna get screwed out of a movie.

And honestly, I don't buy for a single second that it's a "bug" in the system. It's them getting caught on trying to screw over their customers once again.

Used my card easy peasy by leaving the app open and the phone on all morning (while charged) until I got within 100 yards of the theater. Jurassic World 2 turned into Incredibles 2, so huge thanks, MoviePass.

Since my billing date is the 19th, this was my first official film out of a limited 3, plus I finally didn't have to submit my stub verification photo. From the looks of the slate of current and upcoming films, doesn't look like I'll be seeing new movies for several weeks.

Probably just some of the Harry Potter films in Cinemark XD next week.
