One thing I love about movies produced by Del Toro is that they often feel like they were directed by Del Toro...his fingerprints are everywhere. It's not like the usual "Wes Craven presents!" or "John Carpenter presents!" bullshit where the famous horror director in question just slaps their name on anything for an easy paycheck.

This movie doesn't sound like anything to get excited about, but we'll see what the finished film is like.

I like the background and overall appearance, really reminds me of the books.

The books are that perfect blend of kid-friendly and disturbingly non-kid-friendly. I really hope the movie manages to toe that line as perfectly. With Delo Toro's visuals, I have a good feeling, but that poster is a liiiitle bit too straght-to-DVD for me.

Well, it looks like an August movie, lol. The poster is OK, gonna have to see a trailer to get a clearer vision for what the movie will be, but the synopsis on the previous page sounds rote and silly. The ghost uses her scary stories to terrorize teenagers? Lame. It's good to know that there's actually going to be stories like Harold from the books at least. I'll end up seeing it, just to see what they do with it and because of my love for the books. Now that I think about it, Robert Eggers would've been a great choice for directing this.

I don't know how this movie will be, but the books are great, although they need to include the disturbing Stephen Gammell artwork, which some later editions have replaced with crappy art.
