There is already a region free Candyman release.

From which label? The responses I've gotten from Diabolik, and from Arrow's social media accounts say that their upcoming disc is indeed a Region 2 disc, and not one of their region free pressings.

If that has changed, and/or if anyone has confirmation that the disc is indeed region free, I'd love to see it. Might give me something to think about.

Or are you referring to the previous, barebones UK/EU blu?

Looks like they just put up pre-orders for John Carpenter's Starman. Another for the collection! lol

I have a problem paying for multiple preorders upfront. Amazon Canada apparently has the best prices for select SF titles atm so that's where I'll be ordering from even though I'm not crazy about paying $8 for shipping. It's pricey but, even so, it's still cheaper than buying from Amazon.com lol.

I'm going to say that the prices for Candyman, The Critters Collection and Sleepwalkers will dip on Amazon.ca....after a certain amount of time.

If you think about it, those titles are almost 3 months out from release. They're even labeled as Imports when Amazon.ca hasn't imported Shout/Scream titles for at least a couple of years now.

While there's no guarantee of course, I'm quite certain that 30 days from now, the prices for the aforementioned titles will be quite different. Or at least back to "normal".

Cover and street date for Scream Factory's upcoming Blu of Terence Fisher's DRACULA, PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1966).

Quote:
***DRACULA: PRINCE OF DARKNESS Update***

We have some more info about another title we announced at Comic Con back in July. Hammer Films' classic vampire tale – starring the legendary Christopher Lee -- is planned for a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release before the holidays! Some more detail as follows:

• Official street date is December 18th for U.S. and Canada territories (Region A)

• Release will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date)

• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from artist Mark Maddox. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will showcase the original theatrical poster art design.

• Extras are still underway and will be announced later in Nov. We are reconfirming today though that we have an all-new High-Def transfer in the works.

Once again National release date is planned for 12/18/18. However, if you pre-order now for early shipping directly from us @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/dracu...of-darkness-c… you will also receive an 18' x 24" rolled poster of the newly-commissioned art. Only 500 of them are being produced.

Not my favorite Hammer Dracula film (probably fifth on the list) but can't wait and am anxious to see what other Hammers they have plans for. Hope that Horror of Dracula is released eventually, too, either by Scream or WB themselves.

The Unborn is at $23.99 currently on Amazon. A lot better than the $27-30 range it has been sitting in.

I'm fact, I preordered Arrows Candyman in the UK and the final price was still cheaper than what SF is charging within this country (America) for their release. I don't see an issue expecting an average release to be in the lower 20s, when most where, up until a few months ago. I don't know... I guess me giving them say.... $22 for an average release is worse than giving them no money at all. I guess they rather less sales at a higher price point (less money overall) than selling many at a lower maybe less profitable price (more money overall).
Jesus man 2 pages of you whining about pricing, we get it! You have a right to that opinion but at this point it seems you’re trying to convince people not to support these companies & don’t buy their movies at such high price. That right there is where you are wrong. It’s a business plain & simple & if they did things the way cheapos like yourself think, they would go out of business. So yes kind sir I will gladly pay around $30 for these movies because I have yet to be disappointed in a Scream title. These are movies I’ve wanted on Blu Ray for years, sure some are double dip but imma special features junkie. So again if you don’t like Scream’s pricing then stick to pawn shops & stop crapping on the ones who don’t have the same issue.

I always hoped Child's Play 2 or 3 would come out through Scream, but my hopes are dwindling. Maybe someday.

If SF doesn't do them, Arrow is now licensing from Universal....

Now that Universal have released 2 boxsets and the movies individually this year i think it's safe to say that they have exhausted all of their revenue from the franchise and I wouldn't be surprised to see Scream putting them out next year, 2&3 if nothing else.

Eh, I don’t think any of the indies will really be gunning for Child’s Play sequels. Sure, the original got picked up by Scream, but the sequels are surely lesser films and would sell less? The Universal box set and individual releases also go against the notion of an indie picking it up. Usually, if they’re giving a film a remaster, it’ll be a pretty big film, bigger than the Child’s Play sequels and I just can’t see it happening, especially not when the individual releases are came out so recently.

Also, they’re not crying out for a remaster like some other films. The PQ is fine, nothing special, but not in dire need of a restoration.

From FB (Imgur is being trash)

Sorry guys but our upcoming release of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE NEXT GENERATION has been delayed by two weeks. New street date is 11/13/18. https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/texas...re-the-…

As you know, this one has been a challenge for us so far. Please know we are trying our best to make it as solid of a release as we can. Thank you for your patience.
