Ah, BMTI (beat me to it)

'The Red Balloon' and 'The Belstone Fox' are £2 each.

I went for The Red Balloon. Love Paris, and the idea that it was filmed in an area that was razed a few years later should make it a fascinating historical piece.

I hope there's a price drop on The Professionals II some time since I've ordered I, III, and IV (from Amazon). It looks like IV is about to ship.

Wolcott has to be worth a go at that price. I didn't know Death Line is a different transfer so I ordered that as well and the DVDs of Big Breadwinner Hog and The Hanged Man. The Jack Rosenthal At ITV DVD box is well worth the money at £5.10 (Amazon £25). Rosenthal was one of the very best writers for TV and that box includes The Knowledge, Ready When You Are Mr McGill, Another Sunday And Sweet F.A., The People Versus Mr Ellis and There'll Almost Always Be An England among others. Rosenthal's The Chain really needs a blu ray as the DVD is non-anamorphic

Sabotage for £1.67 (in the US, I assume £2 in the UK) is something I must have. There's no American blu-ray release for this title, and even if there were, you can't beat that price.

Hoping they get The Belstone Fox back in stock before the sale ends. Really want to see it and almost bought it for £4.99 at Amazon the other day.

Anyway, I ordered Wolcott and Sabotage, and another copy of The Red Ballon/The White Mane (I already have it but for £2 could always give it away or sell it). I also ordered a couple of DVDs that I'm hoping don't get upgraded to Blu-ray too soon: Afterschool and Atlantic City. Maybe I'll keep those sealed too just in case!

Checked out a bit of episode 1 of Wolcott online, and it looks like a fun, blast from the past, gritty little series, so I placed an order. Will I ever watch it? Maybe by 2027, but for £3, I couldn’t say no.

Unfortunately I didn’t get around to placing my order for The Man with the Golden Arm in time, and Amazon have hiked up the price. Strangely, there are still plenty of other titles left at the cheaper prices. Not really that bothered, but it sounded like an interesting film.

Pretty sure there’s a French BD of Atlantic City out there from Gaumont

Yeah I was gonna get a few more from Amazon too but noticed the prices shot up again. Must've been an error of some sort...that or they'll show up via Network sometime next week. I already cancelled Victim 'cause it was matched in price by Network (and it arrived today).

I already have The Man with the Golden Arm but haven't watched it yet. It's a noir from Preminger though so I'm sure I'll find some enjoyment. Think I paid roughly a fiver for it, so £2.99 was a good price.

I'm aware, but was wondering if Network or another UK label might get it at some point. This will do for the time being!

Man With The Golden Arm is the one of the best films Network have released. Calling it a noir is a bit of a stretch for me though.

Maybe Network will add it next week to their sale. Either way, it’ll be in a future sale for £3.75 ish hopefully, and maybe Amazon will drop it down again.

I think the Amazon stock was depleted and they sold the maximum backordered that they can because what's left at higher prices are sold by third parties and fulfilled by Amazon.

Any opinions on Revenge, the one with Joan Collins? That’s still £5.99, sounds quite intriguing.

A solid attention holding 70's British revenge thriller. Starts off good but ultimately looses it's way somewhat and doesn't really pay off on an interesting if not that original premise. If you're a fan of the era/genre it has some quite memorable elements, otherwise approach with mild caution.

Can't comment on the transfer as I can't remember it being either particularly bad or good, which probably means it's perfectly fine and confidently far better than the earlier open matted (DD Films?) DVD.

Yeah, it was a blind buy for me a while back and I liked it. Easily worth a go for this price.
