OMFG! Just got an email saying mine was just shipped... Part 1 on Blu then 2 + 3 on DVD... His Name Was Jason wasnt shipped with them... hopefully that will follow... I should have them in a day or two!!! Ill throw pics up!

I can't wait to buy everyone of the movies even the ones people hate I love. I also just found out on here about the 30 years of jason!!!! Can't wait to watch that. I wonder how well the bluray is going to sell?

anyone ever seen "the burning" ?

kindaaa like the bastard stepchild, very similar in many ways, but I always thought it was way better than friday the 13th ever was.

Ya MGM finally released that along with From Beyond. It has Jason Alexander from Seinfeld in it.

Well on the topic of old slashers- I saw they released a DVD of "Pieces" but no blu. Same with the long awaited Dario Argento classic "Four Flies on Grey Velvet." Well Four Flies is actually a Giallo but not many people know what that means.

I second that!!!

The word giallo originates from a series of paperback Italian novels with yellow covers.

Mario Bava was propably the first giallo director.

Hope that Paramount releases 2 & 3 on Blu-ray before the next batch of Deluxe Edition DVDs comes out.

I would buy all except 5 and 8-10.

I really like 1-4 and 7 a lot.

I'm glad to see that the Blu-ray will do well. I'm a little surprised to see a few people take the plunge to buy 2 and 3 in SD, when we know the blu-ray is right around the corner.

And the Burning - YES! It parallels F13 part 2 in so many ways. I do like it quite a bit because the first half of the movie is like Meatballs - goofy character interaction. That is what is missing from horror movies today. Good fun characters.

And Giallo! I had an argument with a know-it-all friend of mine who was trying to convince me that Suspiria was considered Giallo. I won.
