EoE I bought when it was a MOD DVD and enjoyed it quite a bit. I haven't cracked my Blu of it open yet, but the canyon vistas should be even more awesome in HD!

This is a title I would highly recommend if people don't already own it.

He was referring to Our Man in Havana, which he initialized in his post as MiH.

As for Bobby Deerfield, I know it tanked when it came out, but I'm morbidly curious about it.

Question: with Scream/Shout Factory having access to quite a bit of the Sony library now, is it a possibility they may eventually get the rights to some titles that were released under Twilight Time? It'd be great if they did as I missed out on most TT releases before and I'm weary to pay top dollar for an OOP release which may eventually see release from Scream/Shout down the line.

I know I said I would get 3-4, but I decided just to get two.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner has the Sony release which should be in no danger of being OOP anytime soon. Also, the Indicator version of The Big Heat is still in print.

I'm not old enough to have been around for the original release of MiH, but that's the film I was referring to and from what I've seen, has had nothing but a positive critical and viewer consensus.

I'm personally not very interested in Deerfield, although I'll take 70's Pacino over 80's-2000's era Pacino any day.
It also has Marthe Keller if I'm not mistaken. I always wanted to see her in more material.

At $9.95 I might be tempted to impulse purchase it.
If I were feeling flush, which I definitely ain't right now.
my bad.. yes I did Need to read posts more carefully!

It's anyone's game really. I know for a fact that "Used Cars" will get a Shout Select release in the future (It was announced at Comic Con).

Speaking of Indicator, I just purchased the Samuel Fuller at Columbia collection instead of picking up the TT individual releases. Was waiting for it to fall in price, but this one hasn't budged.

I had the $2 off so I grabbed it from TT, but I will still pick up the Indicator set later for the other films.

I will probably order You'll Never Get Rich and Suddenly Last Summer. At least You'll Never Get Rich will be an appropriate title since I keep blowing my budget on these sales. Just when I think I'm done, they keep dragging me back in.

Just ordered the following from SAE:

All blind buys except for Sense and Senisibility.

Planning on getting Hardcore, The Crimson Kimono, Underworld USA, The Big Heat, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?, and Fat City, from Indicator if they have a sale next month or just at some point down the line.

I think you guys will really like Devil in a Blue Dress. It's a great neo-noir mystery movie.

Well, it sure does look purdy thank to Henri Decae's Scope photography. Keller's the one who is dying but Pacino's the one who plays it like he's in a coma (even when impersonating Mae West), and don't expect much time on the race track. It's the kind of film a few people love a lot and the rest... well, they mostly agree that it sure does look purdy...

Seconded: it's a shame that never became a franchise (though there's one change to the novel that would have made filming the sequels a bit problematic). It's got a lot going for it, especially a career-best turn by Don Cheadle and a great score by Elmer Bernstein.

Possibly. Kino Lorber Studio Classics has snagged some of the OOP MGM/UA titles previously released by TT.

Thanks. With this in mind I'll probably just wait and see as it's likely an eventuality Shout or another label sooner or later will have access to many TT titles. I'd be weary to buy anything TT right now unless I got it very cheap, which isn't very likely.

Honestly, most of these films I don't really ever see getting another Region A friendly release again (If you're region free than anything goes). If you see a title cheap from TT...grab it.

I buy the TT films. I mean a lot of them in the Sony sale you can get from Indicator but many of the non-Sony's probably aren't going to see a release from Shout or others. Kino Lorber will release a few and maybe some more, but I wouldn't count on the mass majority seeing a Region A friendly release.
