Yes I know I'm a Luddite,... I use the Tizen web browser on my Samsung TV or the web browser on my PS3, but since the change I have lost virtually all access to this site, no pictures (not even the little flag symbols for different countries), no search functions, nothing except forum text. I realize that I'm in the minority here, but I cannot afford to buy a new computer, (especially after all the new releases lately, thanks Scream Factory!). This is my favourite site, I spend hours a day reading, researching or just curating my collection. Now I can't even see my collection. Anyone know if the web browser on a PS4 will work for this site? I was going to save up for one sooner if it does. Thanks for any advice.

For unknown reason the website is not displaying properly on one of my PCs. The images are shown as hollow boxes, with the movie title (but not the images) are shown. Loging out and in doesn't fix it. This happens only on this website. Any suggestions?

The PS4 doesn't have any problems. Everything works. All pictures show. I got some info on the PS3's browser. Maybe this can help identify the issue. Mozilla/5.0 (PLAYSTATION 3 4.82) AppleWebKit/531.22.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) The PS4's browser data is similar and it works fine (it uses chrome i think i have to check again later). I think since Sony doesn't update the PS3 anymore, when websites do updates the PS3 browser isn't compatible. There's alot of sites that don't even show on the PS3. EDIT- PS4 Mozilla/5.0 (PLAYSTATION 4 6.00) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) So yeah it's the same besides the firmware and webkit differences. FYI. HTTPS involves multiple versions of SSL and TLS protocols along with specific ciphers needed to be compatbile. Over the years old no-longer secure versions and ciphers are disabled which is likely why older browsers, OSes, and devices can have issues. Currently it looks like blu-ray.com does not support any of the SSL versions 1-3. They do support TLS 1.0 and up which is actually wider that some newer sites that just support tls 1.2+. While they could expand to support older versions, they really shouldn't because there's known exploits out there that can be problematic. Windows XP user's best case is using the latest Chrome or Firefox they can get. I don't have a PS3, but if it's possible to load a 3rd party browser other than the default one, give that a shot.
Full rundown of the HTTPS used by the site for the developers: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/anal...ww.blu-ray.com Wouldn't bother reading if you don't know anything about how it works, since it's executes a bunch of tests on the site and takes a bit to complete. |

I'm not sure if it was a mistake or not, but the Kino Classics thread should be stickied. It gets huge amounts of activity, and it makes more sense to keep it stickied, than have it mixed with regular threads

Edit: sticky threads also stay hidden during a search. Searching thread titles for "game of thrones" brings up multiple threads, most of them old, and not the main tv thread. Searching posts for "viserion", there it is: "sticky: HBO's Game of Thrones (Season 7)". Weird, eh? Last edited by sandman slim; 09-18-2018 at 12:35 AM. |

Is it just me, or does this argument work better for why it shouldn't be stickied? If it's posted in that frequently it should stay near the top by itself. Stickying seems better suited to threads that would otherwise be buried, but are important (site rules, FAQs, that sort of thing).

Thank you! Pictures loading for my collection now, also for best and new deals pages. When I click on an individual page the thumbnail picture doesn't load until you click on it separately, and then the enlarged picture does load. A small quibble that shouldn't underscore my gratitude to see my collection again! Thank you again. The Samsung web browser in my TV will hopefully be updated some day unless anyone knows a way to enhance it externally, but my PS3 can hold me over. What a relief!

All is fixed with PS3 except when you search. Those pop up pictures seem to now show.
Either way i'm happy i can view bluray case images and review pics again. EDIT- Just found that while review pictures show, clicking on them for the full resolution still doesn't load. Last edited by saprano; 09-18-2018 at 02:29 PM. |

![]() Gonna look at search function when I get a chance. Update: Search function should hopefully be fixed as well, give it a try and let me know if you find any other pages that are broken. Last edited by Marwin; 09-18-2018 at 03:42 PM. |

I'm seeing an issue with the Lowest Prices section (and others) under the Deals menu on the left.
When I first click it, it defaults to Amazon and Lowest Prices as expected. If I click iTunes it switches to the Lowest Prices for them as expected, but if I click Walmart or Best Buy it switches to Best Deals (jumbling the price order) rather than staying on Lowest Prices with the prices ascending from lowest to higher. It didn't used to do that. It used to stay in the section selected. Same problem if you're in Newest Deals or Deal by Day as well. I don't think this is a recent issue. I recall seeing this before a while back, so not likely related to https changes. I do see a few javascript console TypeErrors on the page regarding onloadwff.js, but they appear on the "working" pages as well. This is in Safari. I do not see those errors in Chrome however I still see the same issue there and with Firefox. |
