Well since WB has ruined DCEU by firing Zack Snyder and replacing him with Joss Whedon who ruined Justice League, Henry Cavill has stepped away as Superman and Ben Affleck is no longer going to play Batman. I'm done with the DCEU. I hope The Batman is now going to be not a part of the DCEU and will be a better Batman Trilogy than The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Dark Knight Trilogy failed to be perfect because two actresses played Rachel Dawes. Can we get some continuity in a DC live action superhero movie please WB?

Please let The Batman be in its own universe and go from there. Maybe with The Joker movie it can have a new Batman. Good bye DECU I'm hearing that Aquaman sucks... Wonder Woman 1984 has a comedian playing the bad guy please no....

The reason we haven't got the Snyder cut yet is because we didn't have a sincere enough pumpkin patch. Maybe, this year if our pumpkin patch is sincere enough we'll get the Snyder cut.

So?! Nobody thought Michael Keaton would be any good as Batman and look how that turned out. Nobody thought Heath Ledger would be as the Joker. He ended up winning an Oscar for his portrayal of the Joker. I don't think we should make any assumptions until the movie comes out.

If you watch the early comic con footage, the movie was already trying for that style of humor to begin with. The scenes Joss wrote and directed were mostly Snyder's ideas anyway, he just probably felt he needed someone who can do the humor stuff better than him so he got Whedon to write them, although Snyder was originally planning to direct those scenes himself before he had to leave the project, which I think would have helped.

The theory is that Snyder was fired months before the death of his daughter, not announced, and they just used that as an official excuse for why he wasn't there anymore.

However, this has been debunked by people familiar with the production. Again, it's pretty clear this was the direction Snyder wanted to take the movie in. It's very likely that he simply recognized that he wasn't as good at comedic moments, particularly team banter, as he had seen Whedon do, and so brought him in to fill in where he hadn't been succeeding as much as he wanted to. Whedon just ended up doing more than Snyder wanted, and then WB came in and chopped the movie up even more. I think a Whedon cut that followed the original Snyder plan, without the studio interference, would have been great. But ultimately those Whedon-written scenes probably would have been better if they were directed and cut by Snyder as originally intended.

The biggest issues with the movie are the studio cuts and the inconsistent quality of the filming of those scenes. The comedic elements actually helped as far as I'm concerned.

It’s not what happened. If you really followed that production and knew who to follow on social media, the actual story of what happened has been known. And yes, before anyone asks, I have two sources who I’ve talked to and one who actually use to post on here all the time, who work in the industry who told me the story.
