Eww, the only commentary is the Salkind/Spengler one?

I'm guessing Donner/Mank only did a commentary for the Extended Cut? I can't fathom any other reason to go with that track instead.

Warner keeps the Dolby Atmos track exclusive to the 4K Blu-ray.

If this announcement is what we have all been waiting for, then have your money ready. No word yet obviously on a definitive collectors edition with the other two versions. For now, at least, hang on to the Warner Archive edition of the TV and SE cuts you may have bought last year.

However the DC logo is a bit obnoxious--they could have made it a bit smaller, or placed in the bottom right

That's what I'm hoping we get, how it was filmed. I don't want them to try to change any of that, but with HDR. I'd like to leave some of my favored childhood memories intact.

Really bummed by the lack of original audio. Little less inclined to get it ASAP now....

Jim Bowers and his capedwonder.com site has confirmed the original audio will be on the new disc restored for the first time since 1978 (when few people saw this in 70mm).

On a Dolby Atmos / DTS:X receiver, some 2 channel stereo soundtracks will automatically up-mix to DTS:Neural:X, unless you manually change the audio setting.
