I'd go with Pan's Labyrinth or La Femme Nikita (just released I believe).

If you get stuck for options just watch one of your English language films but change the audio and select English subtitles, job done

If it were possible, Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte de Loups). I have no idea what region the blu is but they really need to bring it to the US soon.

Hehe youre really into Danish films huh? How come?
Yes Flammen & Citronen is out on Blu, but cant confirm if its region free or not...

I second Tae Guk Gi - that is one fantastic emotional movie ! On my top 5 of all time favourites! Just ordered Assembly, hoping it would be the same type of movie... Kung Fu Hustle is hilarious too...

Crim122 - you really seem to love Old Boy huh? Ive seen it once, but I feel like its a movie that needs to be watched several more times before I completely understand it!

Another one is ONCE. Not a foreign-language flick, but a great independent film. The music alone is worth a buy!

Region-locked.

Le Grande Bleu is available on region-free Blu-Ray in france with the Atlantis documentary of undersea footage.

Flammen & Citronen is out on Blu indeed.

Dunno if they ship to the US but here are a few links I've gathered:

Temporary Threadjack...

If you have a player/receiver capable of handling lossless, access the menu while a BD is playing under the set-up or languages, and switch between DD and TrueHD/PCM/DTSMA. Trust me, you'll notice the difference

Love that movie! Seemed like they left it open for a possible sequal! That would be sweet!

Well Danish film rock, no matter what.
But both my parents are Danish so I've watched my share of Danish classics. Krummerne series, Buster's Verden, Olsen Banden movies...
Along with more recent releases such as Groenne Slagtere, Adams Aebler, Solkongen, Blinkende Lygter (our very first Danish DVD), Prag... the list goes on and on. The way they're made is simply genius. They take a micro-society and build an excellent story around it. I love it. ^^

And to answer you and the OP, it says on the Flammen & Citronen box that it's locked to region B. Sorry. :/
