Had an initial playback issue where the audio was clipping in and out every 5 seconds or so. Went out to the main menu and started it again and seemed to correct itself.
Edit: just started again right in the beginning when he looks up and sees the light go out in the bedroom. Anyone else having an issue like this? |

I liked the desaturated look of this last night enough that I dialed down the color when I watched Halloween II tonight. Worked quite well on such a relentlessly dark film. GF still started fading like usual when Laurie left her room though.

A woman at one Target was able to get me a copy. They had three total, and two slipcovers had huge bends in them. Naturally, I went to another Target to try to find a more perfect slipcover but the guy there said he couldn't grab it because the street date said September 30th. Not sure why it would be a Sunday but that's what he told me. Has anyone else come across this information?

A Target employee got a copy for me from the back room. I was thrilled that it was only $15 and elated with the picture quality. I've watched this film hundreds of times, yet I noticed so many things I've never seen before. The clarity is exceptional at times.

Me, I think the caps look rather nice, not an Earth-shattering difference but there's generally a "tighter" look to it with a smidge more fine detail and where these complaints of it looking almost monochrome are coming from I can't quite fathom, unless people are still holding up the old THX transfer as the yardstick? They seem to have done exactly what I wanted with the greens in some shots though, tuning out the lushness of the leaves, while skin tones appear to have slightly more fullness and depth to them. |
