The best replies I get when talking to HDDVD guys after I ask them why buy a unit that has limited studio support, being that it is a MOVIE player:

1) BD players are way overpriced(everyone loves to brag about the A2 price, noone ever mentions it wont do 1080p)

2) Lately I get "BD is a immature format while HDDVD is a mature format"

Ok, well my immature format is going to have many more movies to watch in HD. They love to say it does not matter because they can watch the Sony/Fox/Disney stuff upconverted. Why watch upconverted when you can watch in HD.

I dont miss universal because I own their older titles that I like on DVD and their new stuff coming to theaters is not really appealing at this point. (Hopefully by the time Hellboy 2 comes theyll be neutral)

Ive decided as of yesterday(due to answers 1 and 2) I will no longer argue with HDDVD people. Anyone that would support an inferior STORAGE format, a movie format with the least studio support and continues to tout maturity/price when the nielson numbers come in every week is not worth arguing with.

Ill wait till Univ goes neutral, then post a "I told you so".
