They offered replacements for one season of Little House on the Prairie for a subtitles screw-up. Yet they dind't offer replacements for the final season's last disc which had a major audio foul-up.

Just got my copy in the mail. Replaced the case in my scream set with a 3 disc 4k version and added this to it.

I love that I've been able to continuously upgrade that set by replacing cases and adding discs with alternate versions or additional content. It's up to 23 discs now still with room to grow.

On that note, I hope this sells well and we see 4k versions of II & III in the near future.

I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t.

Exactly. It's a very eerie image and horrifying idea but the knife would indeed have to be sword length fir it to happen. Interestingly nobody I have ever watched the film with over the years, (and I'm talking LOTS of different people) have ever noticed/mentioned it.

I have to agree with you on the color. I don’t own any previous home releases of Halloween but the first thing I noticed in the opening scenes was that it is rather lacking in color saturation.

I’m sure that in the resolution and black level departments it’s got some good things going for it, but I don’t think this is a title that is going to make people jump on the 4k bandwagon who have been on the fence about it.

Watched this the other night. The HDR looks phenomenal and is pretty tasteful. Color timing is extremely similar to the 35th anniversary to the point you'd think they were from the same master, sorry for those that wanted to spam the thread with "OMG Dan Candy change the color for millionth time".

Lack of original mono is a travesty though. I don't have the technology to sync the original mono to the UHD's image so I guess I'll just watch the corrected 35th anniversary disc from the box set whenever I want to watch the film in the future. How could they **** up another Halloween release with this issue when it had already been fixed? What the hell?

Still, the Blu-ray looks great. I'll miss the extra vibrancy in the daytime scenes but the blue lighting looks slightly stronger on the Blu-ray than it does on the UHD.

Out of curiosity, I checked out the older master on the Blu-ray that came in the UHD package and... wow was that master a piece of shit. I can't believe it was once considered a great disc, it's a complete eyesore.

Dan Candy. Nice. That’s his silly John Candy-esque altar ego. Let’s all start referring to him by that name now.

I don't think about it too much because the scene is so eerie. I'm assuming that most feel the same way.

Damn, just remembered I forgot to put in my age to see how I compare. Can someone post the results for males between 30-39?

Picked up my copy from Target today. For some reason all of them were in the back, but I was happy to see the copy I got wasn't damaged slipcover wise. My Halloween collection stays complete!

I have a theory about why they didn't put in the 2013 blu in the 4k combo pack. In my opinion the 2013 blu is still 1 of the best looking catalog titles. Its basically the 4k disc before the color was drained out and in 1080p downscaled from 4k. They didn't want people to see that it was only a minimal improvement from blu to 4k.

The UHD actually has more color.
