Guide to February 2009 Releases

[Shin-Ra]

These are my recommendations if you're overwhelmed by the selection of February releases. I'll update as games approach (better known) and convincing arguments are given but these are really just a guideline for those totally out of the picture and it's a useful dates reference. If I've missed something, please leave a comment. PSN release dates are usually announced closer to release. Mainland EU and Australasia Blu-ray release dates vary and are difficult for me to research.

I played the Japanese demo of Battle Fantasia and I thought it was pretty cool(even though the demo only gives you like 1 or 2 characters to choose from and there isn't many to begin with) but for the most part its pretty fun. Just to bad it only came out to the <insert other gaming platform here> in America and not PS3.

I think its pre-mature to put strikes on any titles until they've been reviewed especially considering people come to here as a credible source of information. I state this because this is a 'stickied' thread. Now if it was a normal thread then it would just be your opinion, but because its stickied it means its representing Blu-ray.com as well.

Are there any struck games that are worth having though?

The ones that are struck are real dogs, X-Blades, 50 Cent, Hail to the Chimp, Bolt. It would be wrong for us not to warn people against these titles.

X Blades is like a title you may purchase when it goes to the bargain bin(or at least that will be my case) but i agree with everything else on the slashed titles. Well ok i do wonder about Destroy All Humans though because the 1st 2 on PS2 were awesome but have they really ruined the series?

Oh don't get me wrong, I have similar feelings and can agree with everything that was crossed out.

I just think its premature to tell flat out say not to even try these games and avoid them before a review is made.

How can you know that x blades is a game to avoid? It won't be the best but it might be enough to scratch that hack n slash itch, therefore making it a so-so game.

Actually eventhough it doesn't look all that good, I'm still giving it a shot as well by renting it on my Gamefly account.

Well KZ2 is going to have to wait for me. I really want SFIV and there is no way I can avoid Star Ocean 4 for 360.
