Not that long, as a rule. Usually 2-3 days.

That's interesting. My order that was shipped on the 1st is also missing in action. All subsequent orders have been dispatched and received.

Their shipping notices aren't always reliable. I've had stuff turn up a week after I've had a dispatch email, only to discover that it was actually sent out the day before via Royal Mail 24.

I think there must be a massive backlog at Sony DADC as they're usually really quick but my last order was split into 3 deliveries for some reason. It doesn't help that they mark an order as being dispatched as soon as anything from it is sent so there's no easy way of knowing what's on its way... or not.

I received the first two films after a slightly longer wait than usual (I've been ordering loads from their sale and they've all arrived within a few days and in one go) but each came in a separate card mailer. The paperwork in the one showed that the other 2 were on back order but obviously the one can't have been that hard to get back in stock as it arrived the same day. The paperwork in that one made no reference to the "missing" film so I figured I'd give it a week and email them if nothing turned up, just to check whether I ought to have received it yet.

It arrived today. So, if you've been waiting for a while then I'd not be all that concerned but they are seemingly a tad slower (or busier?) than normal.

Yeah I had something similar before but not 9 days. My order has 5 or 6 items in so I doubt it can be that they are all out of stock.

They messed up one of my orders and had The Man Who Knew Too Much on back-order, despite it being in stock on the website when my order had arrived. I emailed them and they took about a week but I eventually got it.

It varies but all my Bonkers orders have been delivered very quickly - much faster than usual

Received my orders today, quite fast delivery. Just ordered a whole bunch more including TMWKTM which was seemingly in stock, Young & Innocent and The Lodger. Crazy prices for Hitchcock!

My 3 separate orders from Friday & Saturday turned up today.

One of the orders was

Jack Rosenthal at ITV (missing - wasn't in the post)
The Lovers - Complete Series
Codename Kyril - Complete Series

Should I wait till Monday to see if the missing item arrives before contacting them about it?

My Rosenthal set also didn't get delivered while the other items in the order were fulfilled, but on the despatch note it said it was only a partial shipment, so I'm assuming it'll be despatched separately.

Check the paperwork that came with the order. If Rosenthal is to follow it will say and there won't be any point in waiting until Monday - they will send it when its back in stock which could take a week or so

I know it's not a BD release, but has anyone here purchased The Goodies DVD set (either the sold-out LE, or the non-LE)? And if so, have any of the episodes suffered at the hands of political correctness? (I recall a brief discussion about the possibility of cuts/edits in this thread back when the LE set was announced).

Still working through my certified set, but so far all Rolf Harris and Jimmy Saville jokes present and correct. It's all the extras from the previous sets that have all been dropped as now seems de rigueur at Network.

Thanks. I'm more concerned about getting unexpurgated content than extras - but that's too bad for those who would have liked to have seen that material carried over.

Indeed, though it wasn't that long ago that they did both. I'll hold on to my old previous releases for the extras (as per Randall and Hopkirk and Department S), but my overcrowded shelves would have been extremely grateful if I didn't have to.

All the episodes are uncut including all the moments that might now be termed racist or sexist.

If anyone who got the Limited Edition wants to sell their books let me know

Thanks. As an intelligent viewer who understands context, and the dangers of airbrushing history, I'm glad I can see them how I did when they were first broadcast.

Now, if the set will just drop in price a little...

Under £43 from Zoom on ebay with their current discount deal.

One of the limited sets bid up so far to over £200 with a day left to go

Thanks.

Network price exc. VAT is 50GBP, with shipping at 7.85GBP. I was thinking of also pre-ordering the Terence Stamp series Chessgame with it, but it bumps combined shipping up to that ludicrous 40GBP charge I've read about before here.

Never used Zoom. I checked the site and they only ship to the UK (and EU). I could have it shipped to my parents, and pick it up when I'm next over. Maybe worth it to save a few quid.
