I will look for it. It's a thin cardboard sheet, half the width of the DVD case. It has the Columbia Pictures logo at the top and says "From the Desk of Robert Stephenson," and there is a "handwritten" note underneath: "Can we find a case without these clips? We don't have anything to clip in." Unusual, but oddly fitting.

Does anybody have a scan of the BD cover or a custom cover for this? My BD sustained some water damage and the cover got stuck to the case, and is now ruined. Thanks if anybody is able to help

I had heard that a Criterion edition of this was in the works. Is there any info about if it will ever be released?

That makes sense. This one one of those niche movies that have "Criterion" written all over them. In fact, I might want to revisit it if it ever becomes part of the collection.

Please try to find. This would be my release of the year. Get a third spine for Cage & Jonze, respectively!

I’ve never heard about a Criterion release but the Spike Jones Director’s Label DVD announced a Special Edition release.

That was 15 years ago.

It would be great to have along with Malkovich... this bluray has been OOP awhile. Hope it happens. Maybe Cage would probably do a commentary. He does anything these days

I wonder how different it would be. The current disc is an excellent transfer but there's only a 2 min featurette on the disc. Maybe this one has a ton of extras, hopefully !

Bout time. Finally can complete my Spike Jonze collection.
And I'm hoping features include some Kaufman stuff.

An Adaptation. SE was actually announced on October 28, 2003 when those Directors Label DVDs were released. So 8 days shy of 17 years later it finally materializes.

Yes! I recently picked up the DVD for $1 after realizing the Blu was OOP. Kind of wish Criterion was releasing it, but Shout always does a fantastic job.

It joins the long line of movies you’d think would be paired up but are split between Criterion and Shout Factory: Watership Down and The Plague Dogs. Blue a Velvet and Wild at Heart. I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Used Cars. And now Being John Malkovich and Adaptation.

I have the OOP Blu-ray, which was decent enough. Probably not going to get the Shout Select disc.

Same. The Blu-ray for this is good enough for me to, it's not like I watch it every week. I also like the OOP Blu-ray cover better than the upcoming Shout BD. Good to hear it will be coming back in print. Only way I am biting is if there is a new transfer like a 4K remaster of some kind.
