Surprised they didn't use the old Universal logo. I enjoyed this a lot. The suspense early on was lacking but then it got a lot better. Loved the atmosphere especially in Julians bedroom.

Got a lot of trailers before the movie.

The “not human and pure evil” stuff is literally from Loomis in the first film. Yes, the second took it a bit further but that was always there in Loomis’ speeches. Not to mention him getting shot 6 times and walking away. By comparison he probably gets damaged less in this film.

[Show spoiler]She'll be the new Laurie. Paranoid, seeing Michael everywhere. The dick boyfriend will traumatize her by wearing a Meyers mask at one point and she'll actually kill him only to find out it was him.

It'll send her even deeper into paranoia. Also, I heard he's supposed to be Lonnie's kid. The "Get your ass away from there, Lonnie".

Just got back I’m a bit mixed it didn’t flow very well together for me the high school stuff was boring And it kinda felt a drag in the suspense scenes in the trap house + bus crash

Scenes that just were stupid like the cops in the car and some of that crap with the doctor wtf

But Micheal was awesome and Laurie was awesome

Also it seems there’s like a snobbery towards the old sequels from the makers of this movie yet this movie has done every single thing that those sequels did here

Michael being transferred on Halloween/gas station stop - H4
Stupid cops comedy moment -H5
Micheal seems to have help from the doctor or something kind of like H6
Laurie vs Michael- H20
Micheal being burned to “death” - Ressurection

The “close the closet door” sequence was probably the best in the movie
Soundtrack was excellent
Jamie lee was also great

So what happens now micheal should basically be back to how he looked at the end of resurrection now lol

It's kinda sad how much cell phones have ruined our lives where they are actually having to create characters and plot points in movies to remove them.

Think of all of the movies in the past that couldn't happen now if someone simply had a cell phone.

Saw it in Dolby earlier today. I’m not huge fan of the franchise, tho I have seen them all. I enjoyed the movie. Michael looked great doing his thing at 65 years old . Also, It was a bit gorier than I expected. Def worth checking out at the movies.

Loved the movie. But did anyone else notice the editing mistake in the end.

[Show spoiler]When Laurie and the granddaughter are at the top of the stairs pulling up Laurie's daughter and Michael is grabbing at her legs. There are several quick cuts here and one shows the granddaughter already holding the knife and a fast cut to her not having it then a cut to Michael grabbing, then the granddaughter looks over and sees the knife and picks it up.

At least if it was in an evidence locker or some kind of evidence bag it would make a little more sense. Hell, even drop a line about them writing a book and buying the mask. It's just not good story telling to leave things like that out.

He tells Michael in the court yard that he got it from the DA's office. I was thinking "yeah, I'm sure the DA would just hand over a major piece of evidence from a high profile murder case to some random internet blogger." Besides, the mask wouldve disintegrated by now anyway. Latex is a natural material and breaks down over time. No way in hell would it have lasted for 40 years. So dumb to suggest it would still be around for Micheal to use.

And God, don't EVEN get me started on the scene with the doctor!

[Show spoiler]I don't know, blowing off two fingers with a shotgun. That's never happened before. Yeah he gets stabbed and shot multiple times during the course of the entire night, but he was never in danger of being an amputee until now.
