Received shipping email, from Amazon, for Night of the Demons. Due to arrive tomorrow.
Now if only Creepshow from SF would ship.

Just wish they’d realize that a little communication goes a long way. Is Night of the Demons with the figure delayed? Just takes one post to let us know. Stores are getting the steelbook so is it the figure that’s delaying it or what?

A post, and, more importantly, a global email to all people who purchased the product. While a social media post is "something" it doesn't account for customers who either don't have it, or never use it.

Are any of the recently released Scream Factory titles going to go on sale through Amazon during Black Friday?

Personally, I doubt it. Maybe someone has a different thought for amazon.com but amazon.ca almost never has "sales" on their titles. They usually just lower their prices to match competitors if anything.

Mine is the same, since the 18th. I'm guessing they were getting all the packages ready the they will probably get picked up/dropped off today.

You are brave to order a steelbook from amazon, I'm always afraid to because there packing sucks so bad.

Yeah I would never do that. I've gotten to the point where I'm scared to order a movie with a slipcover from them. Unless I know the slip is shrink wrapped.

I kept returning stuff that came messed up and now they send me slipcover movies in boxes again instead of paper bags.

How likely will Scream Factory release Forbidden Planet from Warner Bros?

They drop this "processing" gimmick just so you can't cancel the order. I'd have cancelled everything I have preordered if half of it wasn't "processing." Just better for me to order off Amazon. I'll get it sooner, which is what it's all about for me. I can't watch it if I don't have it.

I think it might be more likely from Criterion, though I don't really think either company would be able to add much value to the existing release other than a new 4K scan and restoration of the OCN.

If Forbidden Planet does get another release I’m hoping for a commentary by a film historian in addition to a 4K scan.

Kinda surprised with all I've been reading about Scream Factory and their packaging/shipping of items. I ordered "The Fog;" "They Live;" and "Escape from New York" All special edition steelbooks during the 40% off Halloween sale.

All three arrived today, and all three were shipped separately in long boxes with the corresponding lithograph/poster for each packaged inside the box inside heavy cardboard poster tubes. The steelbooks were all each wrapped in HEAVY brown paper with even more heavy brown paper crinkled inside each box to limit shifting.

Everything arrived very quickly with Priority Shipping and everything (posters and lithographs included) was in absolute pristine condition.

Maybe this is a sign of good things to come?

I ordered Return of the Living Dead 2, House on Haunted Hill and Trick R' Treat two weeks ago during the Halloween sale. The order is still sitting as ORDER TAKEN with zero movement. My day one Creepshow order has had a label generated 4 days and zero movement. Sign of good things to come my ass.

Sorry, but I'm about right there with you. No more ordering Scream direct for me. They can add whatever they want as purchase incentives; I'm not falling for it.

Sorry to hear that. Was just sharing my experience after reading so many other bad ones. Thought it might be a sign that SF was taking note and making some changes.

I might be a little off topic since im not complaining but does anyone have any Halloween announcement predictions or even anything they hope to see? Id love to see a collectors edition of The Blair Witch Project but that seems more like a Criterion than a Scream Factory!

I quite liked the BWP as a film, but it's a movie that actually works better watched on a mobile than on a bigger screen, adds to the verisimilitude.

Would love a 20th anniversary of Blair Witch with the Sundance cut and The Woods Movie documentary.
