The price has dropped again at BestBuy to $16. I think the Steels were $24.

Yah, I end up not buying this on prime day. I'm going to wait for the director's cut or inevitable chapter 1&2 set. I'm assuming amazon is not shipping "IT" out without slips.

So, is the directors cut ever going to come out for this? The only reason I didn't buy this was the director said there was a directors cut coming soon. Well...... it's been awhile and still no luck. Any news on the dc?

I can't imagine they'd release it any time soon when they could wait to release it alongside the theatrical release of Chapter 2, or even hold onto it to release with a "complete" edition that includes both movies.

I don’t know why anyone would wait for a directors cut, it’s just speculation. It’s cheap now.

Has anyone compared the US disc to the UK/Europe/Australia one? From what I gather, the US one is BD-66 while the other one is BD-100.

And another case in point. This is ridiculous. It must be nice to change the list price to whatever you want to charge.

^^^ That is a 3rd party selling it on Amazon. If it was sold by Amazon it would say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" and not "fulfilled" by Amazon.

I finally saw this. I am a Stephen King fan, and loved the original miniseries.

On the Uhd, the audio was just fantastic, and the use of black and hdr incredible.

On the story, to me it felt more like someone had given a one page pitch to Stephen King and the writers of the movie, and they came up with different stories. Which is fine. I really liked how much better than the miniseries that they captured they menacing creepiness of Beth's father. And I was actually disappointed we still didn't get the Paul Bunyan statue sequence. Obviously in the miniseries CG wasn't available, and wasn't really practical. But now it is. For a moment they showed the statue and I thought we may have gotten to it! On Pennywise, I still really preferred Tim Curry's performance. He did a fantastic job. He was able to on camera go from pleasant and fun to scary with no effects, just face and acting. The new Pennywise was always just creepy or scary so no transformation from good. So they just lost that level to it

Definitely a great UHD.

This movie had a 30 million dollar budget- the Paul Bunyan sequence alone would've been probably 10 million.
[Show spoiler]It's heavily rumored we will see it in Chapter 2.

Also, on that last part: That's Pennywise from the novels. IT doesn't lure kinds in, except for Georgie. IT makes the kids shit their pants. Even the miniseries barely had Pennywise lure the kids in.

I’m not a horror fan but this 4k release got me into IT as well as the old mini series. I CANT WAIT for chapter 2 to come along, esp how they say they have ramped up the intensity.

So I watched this movie for the third time on UHD. This time after watching Annabelle Creation on regular Blu.

Both disc from WB. Was disappointed with the AQ atmos in this one. Annabelle has more immersive Atmos than IT. And what's with WB putting DTSHD on the default? The Atmos in this is pretty weak compared to others.

About the 4k DV. This not my favorite disc. I actually prefer the 1080p look of Annabelle than the DV look in IT. Maybe the setting of the two movies? I don't know.

About the movie. This one reminds me of Stranger Things a lot. Everytime I watch this, I ended up watching Stranger Things, a better and more authentic 1980's horror sci-fi.
