(I'm not one of those BTW) This happens to every format that's the king of the hill, but we don't know it can be improved upon until we're shown that it can be. And FWIW I think the UHD of Lucy is a terrific improvement over what is an already stellar BD.

I'm not white-knighting for the UHD of ED2 though, I haven't seen it in action so I'll keep my counsel (except for the shite StudioCanal compression, but that's a given at this stage).
My response was more to the fellow who mentioned disliking 4K screen captures. While they are not "perfect" since displays now determine how images will appear according to their capabilities, they're certainly useful and still easily better than any other resource out there.

I see improvements, but with some titles, the differences aren't so great (IMO!). Evil Dead 1, for example. It is such a minor difference between the two that one isn't missing much if they don't upgrade. It's a touch nicer color and that's about it. And the caps show that.

On Lucy, I think the UHD is better but the difference isn't as significant as a Blade Runner or Tomb Raider. I think both the BD and UHD are artifact city during that early scene where the cheetah is on the prowl through the field.
