Really contemplating hard on these. Picked up that lovely Mongrel Media collection from Canada a few years back, so not sure I need to re-buy them again. Maybe will wait for reviews. For others on the fence though, if you still have that original Lionsgate Blu-ray (or DVD!) set, you’d better be upgrading!

thanks for the tip of the French steelbook. I might go for it as it is cheaper than in amazon.de. Besides I have allready alot of various Rambo BD releases so a single steelbook of the trilogy will save some space on the shelf.

This is why I’m hesitating getting them. You know the box set will release around the time of part 5.

$14 for a new release UHD is pretty fine IMO. Why wait?

Just received a review copy of II. The transfer from what I sampled looks nice, but the sole audio option is 5.1 and its the same 5.1 center channel heavy remix from the last Studio Canal release

The disc starts off asking what region you are in (US or Latin America), so does anyone know if the international release is going to have the original 2.0 there? So lame to go to the trouble of producing a UHD only to put the same muffled 5.1 track on it.

I only had it on literally for a few minutes or so, primarily to see what they did to the audio because the last 5.1 track was a dud. Regrettably the limited option of this 5.1 track extends to the new, accompanying Blu-Ray also -- it too only has this lame 5.1 track, and gives no option of the original, proper stereo 2.0 mix (the only other audio option is the Cosmatos commentary).

Visually though I liked what I saw in terms of detail, nice color and contrast, but I didn't do a deep dive because I threw it on there quick. I will check it out later -- just wish they had fixed the audio before releasing it.
