This movie is fantastic and I can't wait for it to hit blu in about ten days. I am eager to see some reviews on it!

A Time to Kill on Blu-ray is one of the better transfers of a film more than 10 -years old put to 1080P. It looks quite flawless. Detail is exceptional - so much so that I was anticipating some edge-enhancement but I could find no evidence - even zooming in extensively. Colors look true and vibrant, while contrast is pristine. Light balances playfully on the characters prevalent sweat (abundant in the film) and there is occasional depth. Truly, I can find nothing to complain about - it is neither glossy nor flat. Technically it reveals a reasonable bitrate with the disc data filling almost 35 Gig of the dual-layered disc. The image allows for a consistent and seemingly accurate presentation of A Time to Kill that is immensely impressive in motion. Warner, utilizing the VC-1 encode produced a magnificent image with this transfer.

I loved the book, but I don't think I ever saw the movie all the way through.

I would give it another look...the cast is stellar and the acting is superb. Sandra Bullock and Ashley Judd aren't bad to look at either.

I will add this to my collection. I have the DVD but hate watching it because you have to flip over the disc to get the second half of the movie.

yeah, nice to see the review about how great the picture quality is....this was a top notch movie that I'll definitely add at some point.

I think you're thinking of Hard to Kill.

Oh, and I love this movie. can't wait for it to come out. Day 1 purchase for me, haven't seen it in a while.

Do you like courtroom thrillers? It's one of the Grisham films that were popular 10+ years ago.
