I wonder if Amazon's pricing has anything to do with the popularity of an item. Talking about Amazon Canada specifically here where they have little competition for Shout titles. I pre-ordered Candyman for around $30. It's now up to $37 but Urban Legend and a couple others that were posted around the same time are still floating around $30.

I'd love to see the Hills Run Red (and Bones, for that matter). But if they get Ernest Dickerson on board for Bones, I hope they keep him for Surviving the Game. Also wouldn't surprise me to see a non-CE of Feardotcom.

Does Amazon usually drop prices on Scream Factory titles on Black Friday?

How is Someone's Watching Me? Not necessarily speaking about the quality of SF's release, but the movie itself? I've never seen it and it's reasonably priced right now.

I was a bit underwhelmed but it was decent. I was expecting it to feel more Carpenter-y, but it still delivers in the slow-burn suspense department. Adrienne is of course the best thing about it.

I just moved a bunch of future Shout titles from "Planned Purchases" to the Wishlist section on my collection, where I usually dump stuff I'm not sure I'll get. If prices come down they'll go back to "Planned Purchases". I just don't see myself paying $30 for The Mangler or Urban Legends 2.

no, I learned years ago that Black Friday is for getting deals on new studio releases and maybe some big studio catalog titles...

anything specialty from Scream to Kino to Twilight Time to Warner Archive is usually left alone....

Hammer time continues in February: The Vengeance of She coming 26th February:

You'd think if Scream had She via Warner they would have announced it first, especially since they presumably have many other Hammers they could have released before this one if it was a question of time.

Scream mixing things up with another Sony title: Return of the Vampire coming 19th February:

This is sort of interesting since it has been released on DVD by Mill Creek, so again it seems that some titles under licence to them are also available to Scream (possibly separate Blu-ray rights, though who knows after the business with Strait-Jacket).

That's 5 titles for February now. I wonder how many more we can expect? 2-3?

Are you serious ???

This is actually coming to Blu-ray ?

I'm going to be sad if this is not true.
I hope it is restored as the old DVD needs some dirt fixes etc.

Yep. Announced by Scream themselves.

Considering the amount of titles announced over the last few days this thread is surprisingly quiet...

Well they're not exactly heavy-hitters in all fairness. I wonder if they're holding back a couple of higher-profile announcements for later this week?

This. They are still older, "more obscure" films that are cool/kinda surprising, but, none of them are exactly super CEs that cult fans would lose their minds over.

And yes, hoping we get some bigger, CE announcements besides VALENTINE soon. Not sure what exactly I would like (that's even remotely likely), but...excited to see what they have on deck.

Even with their recent issues, the past two weeks it seems/feels like they are actually trying to improve things. Their communication still isn't perfect, but it has certainly gotten BETTER and shown some effort IMO.

Dunno that I'll bother pre-ordering super early like I used to. As MOST of the time I don't care about the poster and would rather keep/save the 5 bucks. But, I'm not walking away from the label yet.

I have high hopes that Shout/Scream will do a good job with "Return of the Vampire" --
The old DVD has some density issues and a bit of dirt that needs removing.

The film was the last time Bela Lugosi received top billing in a Major Studio film.
Great fun.

I don't think anyone saw this coming... Poison Ivy Collection coming 12th February:

I thought they might do the first one, but a collection seems a little like overkill to me. These are Warner titles for anyone wondering.
