I'm expecting it to hit 4K as a tie-in with next year's Rambo: Last Blood. Fingers crossed!

Is that the title for Rambo 5 then?

Last year they wouldn't allow for price-matching on BF at Best Buy. Has that changed now?

I'm waiting until BF to buy them.

It says it in their PM policy. They will NOT PM Black Friday.

Absolutely cannot wait for these on UHD. Great reviews so far. It's slightly worrying, however, to hear that the first two movies have authoring anomalies that appear to affect, at least, Oppo players :-/

So yeah, these are pretty darn great. FIRST BLOOD is sort of a bland, murky looking film by design -- but it has never looked better than it does here. Love the detail in the dusk forest scenes. All the dark cave material where Stallone is roaming around with a flaming torch is rendered beautifully in HDR.

PART II just looks terrific. Sony level work. Grain is tight, detail is strong, colors are rich. I saw this several times during the summer of 1985, and this feels very authentic to the theatrical presentation.

I never purchased any of these on regular BD -- the PQ always looked subpar, but the RAMBO series finally has the release it deserves. The wait has been worth it!

Me too. Lionsgate ones all the way on these. Studio Canals The Fog (even though I’m keeping it) has put me off getting anymore of their releases after the macro blocking issues.
Hence I’m waiting for Sony’s Cliffhanger. No sense wasting money with so many good releases on the horizon.

In the 4k reviews, the reviewer states the 1080 discs are not the same ones previously reviewed. Are the blurays included with the 4k sets remastered, or am I reading this wrong?

three days later and there's another ten pages on Rambo. I've already spent nearly two hours catching up on all my threads so can someone give me the verdict on the discs? Buy or no buy, at $8 apiece?

Wtf, StudioCanal?

It also sucks, StudioCanal didn't revsited the audio, heavy front based, weak surround support and volume.

They just can't get the framing right on this film.

I'm glad I too got these LionsGate ones fro, WOW HD instead of the UK discs.

That capture depresses me...

Are the Blu-rays region locked? The Lionsgate discs, that is.
