This trend says a lot about who studios think is still buying discs.

I just turned 40. I'm deep in the nostalgia game right now. Buying mini video game consoles even though I have the originals; buying VHS-boxed blu-rays even though I have the same movies on VHS and DVD. I'm buying vinyl of albums I've had on CD for decades...

What is wrong with me, why am I doing this???

Your wallet is going to hate me but have you seen the new Arcade1Up mini cabinets?

Oh yeah I have. If they don't come out with a Mortal Kombat cabinet, I'm picking up the Street Fighter one to be sure!

It's gonna sound crazy, but I've found that when I want to listen to a musically oriented movie like The Wall for background noise, the tape sounds better. Must be because I just have a regular TV and a well maintained VCR.

Target

I've seen some of these in-store. They're kind of neat, but take up too much space for single movies. I much prefer the retro VHS slipcovers that Mill Creek does. I hope when the series has run its course, Stranger Things gets slimmed-down, MC-style re-releases.
