Hmm.. Well I think Loki had a point when he was saying that alot of you guys are filled with excessive hatred (JTK) that was meaningless. I see it but I've just been breifly reading though the boards.

Actually I'm his roommate, he told me he got banned and I'm reading through what he posted, he get's banned all the time though, back in the days when we use to play PC games. He's really not a bad guy if you knew him in person.

That's too bad he couldn't show us more of that side of him here. He's been posting like someone with a major grudge since last night.

He basically wanted to be banned so I guess he got what he wanted.

Well belive what you want, but I can say that he is in fact kinda wealthy, he get's the start up cash from his Dad, and he invests it homes that he buys and resells, ( we currently live in one). But I can say that he is generous free rent!

, at least to me which is great seeing as how I'm still in school, but like I said he's a good guy if you get to know him, really helpful too in technical issues.

That's where that "I don't care who wins" attitude comes from. He didn't understand not all of us have money to burn on both formats, and just pick up and move on if ones dies. Oh well. I'm done with THIS subject. Moving on...

Sorry for being off topic here, but this is a common problem with message boards (especially car boards) normally nice guys become real jerks when they get behind a keyboard and can hide behind the anonimity which that affords.

hey well being an owner of both HD DVD's and Blu Rays, I can definately say without hesitation that from my Movie Collection I'd give up the HD DVD side of things way before Blu Ray, so yeah I would also Recommend and suggest BLu Ray to others if they asked me the differnce between the two, but only on the movie side of things.

Can't wait for Spider Man, oddly I think I'm more excited for that then Halo 3. LOL

Actually, as to HD-DVD being more Microsoft or Toahiba... look at the motivations. Microsoft is simply trying to prolong the markets indecision until they can ramp up their download program.

Toshiba on the otherhand has MUCH greater self interest... remember, for the last 10+ years they have been sitting back fat dumb and happy collecting royalties on each and EVERY DVD sold. If BD becomes the standard, they lose this income stream because they are not even remotely part of the BDA. The success of HD-DVD is the only way they can continue milking the movie software cash-cow. They are simply too short sighted to see that their bedfellow, M$, is really in the game to destroy them as well as the BDA.
