Once and Rules of attraction are up for pre-order on Amazonuk, Released on 16th Feb.
Both released on the icon label, so a good possibility they will be region free and feature DTS HD.

I would LOVE to get Rules of Attraction on blu. Can anybody confirm if it is region free? I need to be able to watch it on my US PS3. I have had such mixed results importing movies that I'm scared to preorder anything.

Region coding can really be random at times so I would wait until it has been confirmed region-free. Is waiting a little longer going to kill you?

With the exception of Dan In Real Life all Icon Pictures releases have been Region-Free. As Clark Kent has pointed out, however, you could wait for our review to confirm it the disc's region status.

This is certainly news to me as I have actually submitted a review for Icon's Apocalypto and the disc is most certainly region-free. Thank you for the note.

ROA is a great movie, but was really hoping to get this uncut. The UK SD-DVD when first released was the most cut out of any release world-wide. I would hope this come to a US release.

I got my copy of The Rules Of Attraction today. Don't ask me if it's region locked, I have a UK PS3 so don't have to worry about such things. That said, there is not one single region marker ANYWHERE, be it the cover or the disc.

All the extras are in PAL. The PQ is okay, I thought that skin-tones looked a little red in places, but that's my only niggle. The cover states that the disc is a BD-50, but that's incorrect as even if I didn't know how to tell a 50 from a 25,(circular barcodes), the bitrate is far, far too low to even consider this is a BD-50.

The full running time is 1:50:43
That's longer than any previous version that's listed by the BBFC,(with or without 4% PAL speedup). What should also be factored into account, is that this disc has Australian warnings after the UK ones and The Rules Of Attraction was released uncut in Australia. That's all I can say.

*EDIT* I just checked the suicide scene and it seems longer than I remember, you actually see the wrists being sliced into. Pretty graphic stuff and definitely not in any previous UK video releases.

We will have reviews for all of Icon's releases very soon (our agent mailed the screeners last Thursday).
