Yes

I was planning on buying duplicate copies for $7.99 on BF so I could return with my Day 1 receipt, but of course they were sold out before I even woke up. So I just grabbed them at $9.99. Seriously like 20 minutes later, they dropped them down to $7.99 again?! And I can't cancel my previous order, and I can't price match since it's still the BF period. So now they're gonna get two sets of returns instead of one. Sigh.

It's as if the person that did the subtitles doesn't understand English as a first language. Maybe they had the German dub, then tried transliterating the German back INTO English or something.
I always thought he said "anything" but "everything" works.

"What do you hunt with a knife?"

"Everything."

'cause he's a trained survivalist, and can hunt any kind of wild game with just a knife, but the Sheriff assumes it's just what a criminal would carry or that he's a possible killer at worst. In the Sheriff's world, nobody could ever hunt without a gun in the 20th century, he's just a low life drifter who could never do something he can't, and governed civilians shouldn't be armed with a knife over X inches anyway.

I would start with checking your equipment and setup/calibration.

I thought he replied: ”the enemy”?

-What do you hunt with a knife?
-The enemy.

The ironic thing is that a negative will usually look like this in its native state as it's a VERY low contrast element, the point is that the colour timing is imbued on subsequent positive passes (hazeltine timing then full answer print).

Anyhoo... still love FB. Awesome movie. Looks good in 4k. Makes me feel like I'm watching a vintage 1980 flick (well, actually I watched it on a projector, and had my "critical eye" blinded and shut off).
Rambo II looks decent, but the movie is a little worse.
As for Rambo III... yeah it looks great - those outdoor shots and natural sunlight is glorious (so too, are some of the sets)!
I was fine with it for the first 45 minutes, but then the last half hour keeps flushing itself farther down the drain. The terrible one-liners between Rambo and Trautman feels like something from ACTION JACKSON, not from what the first half of this movie's tone was going for. Ah well, either way, I don't consider as much of a disaster since I last watched it 10+ years ago (or the times before that), but it is undoubtedly the weakest entry in the series.

It was nice to get back
I'm not a native English speaker so I most often turn the subs on (and often bacause of the better half is in bed hours before me).

First I thought the subs were funny, but after some time I found them quite frustating.

Only had time to watch some 40 minutes on First Blood but I found the PQ very good, with however minor fluctuances in brightness (blacks were lessened from great to ok on my Samsung KS 7000 65" EU model 8005), not sure if related to the UHD or my TV and its HDR capabilities. But the poor subtitles actually disturbed me alot more than the somewhat varying PQ as it was just in some particular scenes, and those may be shot that way originally?

Edit: seeing the rest of First Blood only a few incorrect/lazy subtitles were found. Highly recommended and must say the film impressed me more than ever. And that is good as the French UHD Steelbook is my 8th Rambo BD and UHD case in my Rambo collection

Was able to get all 3 of the 4K from BB.
Rambo 1 & 3 for $7.99 each, and Rambo 2 for $9.99.

I've done a complete 180 on that scene over the years. I used to absolutely hate it but now i'm blown away by just how bold an ending it is. For an action movie to end on such an raw, emotional note is/was incredibly ballsy.

Wow, Rambo: First Blood Part II hasn’t sat with me that well after watching
First Blood the other night.

I remember when I was young it being completely the other way round. Used to have Commando and Rambo FBP2 as regular viewing on VHS.

Now my love for Hot Shots Part Deux and First Blood have just made it feel a bit naff. It does seem to pick up after an hour, before that for some reason everything seems so wooden.

Got to say the series for me is 1, 4, 2, 3. Next time I’ll watch in reverse order of that ranking.

I think First Blood could have been an EVEN better film with Lee Marvin as Trautman, seem to remember that trivia from a while back, and perhaps a slightly better last part, that’s saved by the amazing monologue though. Forgot how great a Dennehy is in part 1.

Anyway, PQ and 4K wise (of the iTunes copies), I preferred 1 so far for the beautiful landscape shots and the cave scene. I imagine the cave scene on an OLED with HDR would be great. Even stood out on my 4 year old non-HDR.

I’d probably get the disc of 1 in the UK when it’s cheaper.
Really hope 4 gets the 4k upgrade. Other than the annoying CGI Blood, that’s a great follow up to 1. Can’t wait for 5!
