Some Call it Loving is 'out of stock' on Vinegar's site and 'temporarily out of stock' directly through Amazon. I'm not sure if they will be restocked or not considering Etiquette Pictures is being phased out. I got a copy yesterday through the VS sale when there were only a handful left and then looked on Amazon and noticed they had a couple. But now neither, directly, has a copy. I see one left through Diabolikdvd.

weird since they still have not just seasons 1-3 but the final seasons disc for blu-ray still stock as well (4, for some reason, is DVD only for availability though)

man season 4 is crazy though, no new or used copies on Amazon in the four countries I checked so far, not on Warner, not at DeepDiscount, not at FamilyVideo, not at Oldies, not Target, not on ebay

I only have 1 so far, but I guess I better nab 2,3,5,6 right away.

I think Season 2 may be just about out also as it's already near $50 unless you go used, gonna go used for that one (even still costs close to a normal new price).

EDIT: wait, Best Buy is claiming they are getting new stock of Lost Girl Season 4 blu-ray on Jan 1st and have it up for order.
maybe they will all come back, even the nearly sold out 2,3 on Amazon are listed as only a few left but more stock coming
so far only Best Buy seems to promise 4 is coming back though

The Sinbad Trilogy and The Eyes of Laura Mars from Powerhouse Films (UK) are OOP.

How do we know when a title is officially out of print? All signs point to any/all Friday the 13th related discs being out of print but what would make it official? We know the Complete Collection is long OOP, but it seems like the 8 Movie Collection is, as well as all of the 2 packs and the 3 pack containing FvsJ/Remake/ANOES films. There is literally NO retailer carrying any of these (unless it's a 3rd party seller at escalated prices).

Don't they release "standard" editions when their limited ones are gone?

As said in their shop:

Quote:
Where contracts allow, we may issue non-limited Standard Editions, with different cases, one-sided sleeves, and without booklets.
So it depends... but to my knowledge all their OOP discs to date has been re-released. We'll see for Laura Mars 'though...

Oh man, I sure hope 7th Voyage gets released by them individually. I couldn't justify buying that set (as beautiful as it is) since I don't care for the other films.....

UPDATE on Friday the 13th 1-8 Blu-Ray collection - several online retailers have it back in stock as of today! So not OOP I guess. I wonder what that means. I know there was the legal battle that had a ruling in late summer/early fall, so perhaps they hit the brakes on printing anything new until they figured out if it was legal or not? Hence the 2 month stretch where it was entirely gone from shelves? I dunno.

Do you guys think it'll go OOP again soon? I do know that the Halloween Blu-Ray collection had gone out of print, then a few weeks back BestBuy and Amazon got it back in stock...then gone again...then back in stock, etc... Seems like it's gone now.

The "Halloween" box from Shout Factory is practically guaranteed to never be reprinted. Their license has expired and by all accounts will not be renewed.

With "Friday the 13th", what you are describing sounds more like an issue with the replication plants. That's a widespread problem right now, and I know catalog titles are lower priority than new titles, so I would imagine that repressed catalog titles are even lower still. It might actually be out of print again too, I'm not sure, but unlike "Halloween", there's no reason they can't do a new one (at least once the legal fight you alluded to is settled).

With past releases they have, so it stands to reason they'd do the same here. I've seen other forum members hoping the Sinbad Trilogy gets broken out into its individual titles.

I was able to get a 10-disc Halloween set today at MTC in Fort Worth for $39.99. I had a guy on Facebook Marketplace that had a 10-disc and 15-disc sets asking $100 and $150 for each. Glad I passed!
