I watched Ocean's Eight for the first time a few days ago. I think it's absolutely superb. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's such a lot of fun. It's crept into my Top Ten of 2018. There's an endearing positivity to it that I enjoyed, and there's a few other smart decisions made regarding style and deeper character choices that stood out for me even if the plot itself is the usual breezy heist misdirection mechanics.

It's a damn fun movie! And Hathaway is terrific.

I would love to see Nicole Kidman in a future sequel; not sure if she should be an antagonist or someone from Bullock's past (a Practical Magic reunion, lol). I'd also hope to learn more of Blanchett's backstory. I think there's room for some great expansion on characterisation if the filmmakers retain their sense of... humility? If it all becomes a bloated smugfest similar to the male franchise -- where it seemed like a huge knees-up among actor friends that the audience was inconveniencing with its unwanted voyeuristic presence -- then I'm out.

I agree about Transformers 1. Transformers 2 is just a crappy as the rest of the series.

December Update: The Dark Knight is still the most overrated film of all time.

Do they ever explain what happened to Megan Fox's character in the Transformers series? Did she realize that they couldn't stop the Decepticon invasion after several attempts so she decided to go to an island to pout and die?

Transformers 1 and 2 are HUGE guilty pleasures for me. Also, I've always been a fan of Shia. Dude's done some stupid shit and got a bad rap sure. That being said, I just always see him as an underdog, dunno why.

Well i cant say i liked it more but at least the first surprised me and the last was a deception. Anyways i feel Endgame will be much better so fingers crossed.

Definitely one of the most overrated films ever, yeah.

I revisted the trilogy last week and I still don't really like TDK. It's the weakest in the series for me. And on top of that, I don't care for Heath Ledger's performance (no disrespect though, R.I.P.).
