As with 90% of cases on here, the "teal" complaints are overblown nonsense. Who says the Arrow or any of the other releases are accurate?
DVD masters are DVD masters (horrible track record when it comes to accuracy) and Arrow were clearly afraid to dial in the colors and contrast like they were with several other of their remasters, films were graded photochemically and they were high contrast elements. The Arrow looks like a negative scan, converted to a positive with very little in the way of contrast/color, quite the opposite of how a print would look being a high contrast element and all. |

Teal? The new BU blows the over-sharpened Arrow big time. Exelent release by BU!

I didn't find the Arrow release over-sharpened, I doubt a James White supervised restoration from the OCN would have that kind of tinkering. It was brighter and had issues with contrast / blown out whites, which again I realized on comparison with the new BU blu (indisputably the best of the lot).

Yeah this 4K remaster actually blows away the Arrow (which in itself isn’t a bad transfer).
Now that Lustig mentioned New York Ripper is coming, I hope they remaster House by the Cemetery as well. ~Matt |

All of those LVR titles need to be redone.
Based on appearance, that would include titles like 'Killer Nun', 'Salon Kitty', 'Baba Yaga', '10th Victim', 'A Bullet for the General', ...hell, most of them. I eventually stopped buying them altogether and just left things as-is with the DVDs. It felt like a giant waste throwing money at bad presentations over and over. BU also needs to do updated versions of 'Eugenie', '99 Women', and 'Girl From Rio'. |
