Lana is just supremely messed up. Just a short time ago she likens herself to Lex, then the last episode she says she and Clark are equals. Uhhh... sure.

Similar to how Chloe tells Clark last week not to hurt her cousin, then this week tells him to go after Lana. WTH?!?

Agreed about Lois. I think it is only fitting and works out well for Lana to have this ambition to get the Prometheus suit. She was married to Lex, and this is quite possibly the way she get closure from it all. That the suit will never get in the wrong hands and that she can take what Lex meant for essentially evil and domination and turn into what she thinks will be "good", because as Clark pointed out the last time she had powers it didn't work out to well at all. But, I thought that was only fitting.

Lois does need to come back, and I am sure she will. I didn't like how she and Clark were getting so close to only disappear from a few episodes, but I'm sensing that we'll see her real soon.

LOL. That scene just now with Lana and Clack kissing reminded me of Rogue and Iceman from X-Men

Maybe a tad, but more dramatic.

that episode was lame imo. lex would never have spoken like that (i dont mean the voice, but the dialogue) and i dont like how they ended lana's running on smallville. so now what - is she going to go off and live in colorado or something and be a superhero there? i really wish she hadn't been brought back in the first place but whatever. time to bring lois back and get things going.........................again.

you really think so? i think if they had left it last season with her leaving clark so he could let go and go on to use his abilities to help people that would have been a perfect way for her to go out (and they wouldn't need to explain the subplot where she was kidnapped. we could have just thought that she left as we did until recently). i'm tired of her character on the show now; she had an invaluable purpose in clark's life and now it's time to move on with the next stage of his life. i wish she and clark hadn't started up a romance again, because now it's like he has to get over her leaving AGAIN and start the whole lois thing again. obviously he has feelings for her, but with lana just leaving i would assume it will be harder to bring them out immediately. sry for all the words

I don't think she doesn't serve a purpose. I think she served a big purpose on this episode. Without her it would have been Clark who blew that up.

She's gonna be in Clark's life regardless of Lois. That won't change. She's always gonna be a reminder to Clark that his destiny is greater then simply falling in love. By embracing his destiny he gets with Lois, but Lana will always be the one that got away.

well yes, she definitely served her purpose in that episode. my thing was that i wished she didnt come back in the first place thus the episode could have been written differently. i highly highly agree with your other points

I'm guessing she was wrote out because she was staring in the Street Fighter movie and since its over they wrote her back in?

yeah, but she had also expressed an interest in pursuing other roles so they had planned to write her out of the show as a primary character. man i miss clark's mom: why don't they ever have scenes with him talking to her on the phone or something. just something brief that would be a nice nostalgic nod to fans.
