Leprechaun Returns

I'll be checking it out in the near future. I haven't decided yet if I want to watch it before Christmas or not though.

I rented it and had to pause to take a break every 15 minutes because I found it boring. I did like the segments with Ozzie and the last 15 minutes of it.

Since the Warwick films were released on blu-ray to tie in with Origins release, I’m hoping for a 4K UHD set to tie in with a possible physical release of Returns.

I thought it was easily the best since 3.

Hmm...Christmas...Leprechaun... You may have just found the next movie in the franchise! Kind of picturing a Gremlins/Leprechaun situation. I haven't watched all of them in probably close to 10yrs and I vaguely remember one being set around winter time but don't remember if there was a heavy Christmas theme.

I thought Returns was pretty decent...definitely better than most of the sequels. Not better than 3 but a good effort, I hope they do more and also release this on Blu-ray after the Syfy showing.

That does sound like it could be a lot of fun. Bratty kids, greedy adults, and the Leprechaun... Almost like a fun twist on the film Krampus.

Ditto. I really enjoyed leprechaun returns... Probably the best "serious" sequel imo. Kills/gore were fantastic.

Could someone explain under the spoiler tag what exactly happens to Ozzie in Returns? I didn’t quite understand that part. Thank you in advance.

Just watched Leprechaun Returns. Not bad! Didn’t go TOO overboard on the humor, at least not to the level that I was afraid of. The new actor did a really good job. The makeup was also a little more evil looking than Warwick Davis’ version. The movie had some good kills too. I was a massive fan of the original back when it came out when I was in high school, but after being disappointed with part 2, I never watched any of the other sequels until this one. They looked just too damn over the top cheesy.

I'd give the 3rd one a shot.

Leprechaun in the Hood was good fun. Definitely some funky cheese, but good fun.

Returns was awful, but a near-masterpiece next to Origins. These films simply don't work without Davis, he's mostly what made the old flicks palatable. They may be cheesy, but he acted the shit out of them and watching these new installments makes it obvious what wonders he did with the material.

Just stop...the new guy did a pretty good job. In fact you could argue he added something to it. There is always a faction who just dumps on everything just because the original guy isnt in it. Sometimes its valid but in this case its not. In any case it was Davis who chose not to be in anymore for kinda silly reasons considering his kid is older., he wasn't pushed out. Im looking forward to more.
