Not to mention, sometimes unrelated to the specific topic. Explain why Bill rarely answers anyone's direct questions. Explain why Bill shares his complaints(whatever you want to call it) about other companies ripping him off or doing him wrong with customers. Explain why Bill on a regular basis brings up being stuck with x amount of stock/unit numbers, what didn't sell, etc... Explain why Bill has never had a replacement program to fix a Blu-ray problem, while other companies(for the most part) do their best to fix disc issues. Explain why Bill NEVER thanks anyone for buying or complimenting his product in the Code Red thread ... or ANY other messageboard I've seen Bill post on over the years. Then explain why just about every other small label company, like Kino, MVD, Vinegar Syndrome, etc... have either representatives or the owners themselves fully engage with customers of this forum. Answering questions, handling problems appropriately, ... just all around professional and friendly customer interactions.

Thanks in advance.
Answers for WinterBox....

[Show spoiler]
I was asked to explain, so, here goes.

1) Bill's speech is not unintelligible, never has been, so, my guess is, he does tis as part of a character he has invented for himself. In other words, The Bananaman makes unintelligible (and quite funny) posts.

2) My great grandfather talked about presidential behaviour, describing an ancestor, to teach me how he thought I should behave. When asked a question he didn't want to answer, the man would simply answer a different question. Over a hundred and fifty years later, the newest president became famous, overnight, for doing exactly the same thing. There is no rule of etiquette requiring that anyone ever answer a question they don't want to answer, or the question posed.

I am told, commonly in life, that the same thing people hate here, that I answer as well as I can, is a good part of why people like me. Here it is seen as bad. If I were Bill, I would assume no one who criticizes thorough and clear answers would ever want me to give them a decent answer to anything.

3) I imagine he complains here, about that issue, because he has fallen into the trap of believing that the people who would buy his films are all here. We're not. Most of my friends buy his films exclusively from Amazon and only buy films from Amazon. The ones who order from him, in our little network of shipping-cost splitters, routinely try to get others to try ordering from another source. They won't. If he wants to sell out a title, all he needs to do is set up an Az Marketplace store and fill orders quickly. Titles will sell out to all the people who don't even know there is a blu-ray.com.

4) Bill has never had a replacement program, again, I imagine, because he thinks the people who buy from him are represented by the people here, the same people who pick on each other and behave rather badly. If he thought all of his customers were like me or DD over at DF, people who genuinely love these old movies but who are also good people, he would view his customers differently, necessitating a change in how he treats them.

5) For the "never thanks anyone", see answers 3 and 4, above.

6) VS is treated well. They are complimented routinely. Even when complaining about what I see as a bad decision, cutting the peeks line, I made clear statements that VS is one of my favorite companies. When complaining that they raised their prices too high, so I had to buy from Amazon, when I prefer my money go directly to them, I made clear statements that they are still one of my favorite companies and stated that I want them to have the money, not Az, even as a person who promotes Az openly and in contexts that are not relevant.

In other ways, that I will not detail here, I go out of my way to help them sell more product, as I do for Code Red and Scorpion, and have done for years. I go so far out of my way as to spend time on the phone with reps at two companies to make sure that my aid is actually translating into more sales. If it is not, I endeavour to fix it. So great is my desire for more films. If CR was treated like VS, with honest compliments coupled with constructive criticism, I imagine CR would treat customers more like VS.

Trouble is, the only way to prove that would be for everyone here who engages in sniping and rudeness to suddenly behave like me. Given how much I am despised, by a vocal minority, I can't imagine anyone really wants to take up that particular challenge.

7) For the answer to the issue of why he doesn't openly engage with his customers, see all above answers.

Hope this at least partly answers your list of questions.

Remember, all things Bill can be discussed in the CR forum and DD over at DF is his own man. His customer service is quick, courteous and on par with VS. His shipping is quick and accurate. I don't really think this board is the place to discuss all of these old issues with Bill, given that he is in the middle of a huge business model change, after the killing of the cartel store.

It is a virtual guarantee that none of you travel in my circle or would ever meet me and be aware that you were meeting me. If I speak at a mega-church in your area and you happen to be there, you still won't know who I am.

As to laughing, I laugh when people make good-natured jokes. The lying online thing never hooked me but, in the mid-90s, when I had two colleagues who were taken for a fool by several people online, not for money thankfully, except in one case, I realized how far some people will go on the internet.

Given my career history, I naturally assume everyone has criminal potential and, so, in order to be happy, have chosen to live believing everyone when they tell me who they are, keeping a healthy reservation that all people could be lying, but not actively doubting unless given a reason. If presented with a person under suspicion, I do still automatically set about proving guilt, which I am trying to fix. The result of all of this is that I don't lie to other people. Figuring out people's lies takes too much energy and I see lying as akin to theft.

Some review I read somewhere likened Centerfold Girls to Swinging Barmaids but better. Since it came with an extra movie and I could actually buy it (and for less money), I did. Centerfold Girls was quality entertainment with a great drive-in/grindhouse feel. I haven't seen the other film yet but I'm expecting good things. I'd recommend it.
Been out for a few years, if I remember when I got the two double features. Both discs are fun. This one, I enjoyed both films.

It is unlikely my entire personality is going to implode, as you believe, but it is your right to believe whatever you wish. It is likely that I will take breaks from the boards, here and elsewhere, as I have taken breaks from reading them, when I get too busy.

And then, eventually I will leave and not come back, because I have died. It gives me an odd sense of pleasure, given the couple of you who are so consistently rude, with your gender shaming and name calling, to think of how many times between now and then, you will believe I have died, and allow yourselves to be happy, only to find, months later, that I return.

Come to think of it, I may ask a colleague to come on from time to time, even after I'm gone, just to emulate me, because we are similar, gender aside, all for you indravayu, because you have made such an impression.

And I ask again that you, indravayu, please, pretty please, put me on your ignore and then actually ignore me.

Again, back to DF, I can't be the only one still looking forward to MM I. Anyone other than me buy MM II and see the new transfer? I have a thing for blue lightning effects in films, so that scene was particularly fun for me.

I'm partly from California and I've been forced to spend time in LA for various reasons over a lifetime. When in CA now, I am with family in SoCal and don't go into LA unless I have no choice. I remember the roads the way they used to be. As a Brit mutt, it was difficult enough to fit in there, but now it is a maze of walls of cars.

Open up the storefront and you’ll have my money for the Swinging Barmaids/Steel Arena 2-fer. Add a flash sale for Freeway 2 and you’ll get even more...

I thought it was the perfect example, since I haven't done it in nearly two decades and I don't plan on returning to standing up and giving speeches. But what made it sad? Is it more of the idea that any kind of seminar is sad or just the idea that all speeches should be given in a football stadium and, if they're not, that makes them sad? Or you do just hate churches?

Can I request that future live streams not be filmed Vertical Video Syndrome style?
