District B13 (UK) lossless audio? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if there is a lossless audio track on this release? The US version only has a DTS-HD High Resolution track and I was hoping to upgrade. Apparently the French version has a DTS-HD MA track but its region locked.

Dolby 5.1 audio and a less than impressive PQ. Avoid it.

Much appreciated, that's a shame. From what I was able to find the Japanese version has DTS-HD MA but no english subs. Amazingly, looks like the US release is still the best option for us.

The U.S. disc is no great shakes in terms of picture quality either. I watched it recently and it is showing its relatively old age as a Blu-ray.

Not to be controversial, but the US HD DVD had a better VC-1 transfer,(as opposed to the BD's MPEG2 job). It also unfortunately had the same HoH subs as the Blu-ray. I just feel that I'm not meant to own this film in Hi-Def at all.

Hello;

I am thinking of getting a copy of the District 13 as well as the District 13: Ultimatum. Which one do you guys recommend? The US version of the 2-pack is on sale for $14 and the UK version of the 2-pack is also on sale and comes out to be $15 shipped to me here in the US.

Does anyone know which of it is the better version? Is there anyone wound here who has both the version or has seen it both please advice? Thank you!

Here's the problem...

Neither US or UK release of the first film, is worthing purchasing, IMO. Both have their own issues.

The UK has poor PQ and lossy audio. The US has mediocre PQ, Hi Res audio and dubtitles, as opposed to proper subtitles. Even worse, they're for the Hard of Hearing only.

Pick your poison.
