Last Detail has an excellent region-free version in the UK from Indicator.

OK, looking at caps-aholic I answer my own question, the two versions are quite different. However, I'm not so sure that the Indicator's extra crispness and 'detail' are not just a series of sharpening passes as I see a black halo around some flames not seen in the U.S. version and I see some scenes where stuff in the background is clearly out of the depth of field and slightly out of focus in the U.S. version but magically looks to be mostly within the depth of field in the Indicator version which seems to imply various sharpening passes were applied beyond a normal degree.

I plan on getting the Indicator release when it comes out but I will hold on to the US release for the different extras....

As someone told you in the UK thread, the caps on there are not accurate because the disc was replaced. They used the wrong master by accident, and replaced it with the 4k remaster, which is stunning. Have no worries, the Indicator is the best disc by a country mile.

I just did just in case I don't want to overpay like I did with Slumber Party Massacre II & III.
