Glad they worked it out any potential problems about putting both on the same disc. Is this the first time Lionsgate has mentioned anything about supporting HDR10+? I don't recall any announcements.

Well, 10+ is literally just a teeny tiny packet of metadata appended to the signal so it shouldn't cause any conflict with anything else on there, famous last words. Insider 2themax did say that he looked at the spec and couldn't see any specific problems to putting both on there, it'll just take a bit of working out in the encoding. (10+ is transmitted over HDMI as a Vendor Specific Info Frame (VSIF) whereas Dolby Vision hides its metadata in the Least Significant Bit (LSB) of the 12-bit image itself.)

It's great that both dynamic formats are on there though, and with Panasonic announcing TVs at CES that do both then this might be the start of the Great HDR Convergence, just like what happened with DTS and Dolby Digital being integrated into virtually every AVR over the last 15-20 years. It doesn't stop the two formats being at loggerheads, nor does it do any to quell the raging fanboyism on both sides, but as long as both are catered for then who cares about that shit?

Will the Innocence re-release not be drenched in DNR this time? You can have all the dynamic metadata you want but when it's been smashed as badly as that with the DNR knob then the metadata is a moo point.

No re-release. Current disc has HDR10+ already.

Under such circumstances, new information became clear. Two films of UHD BD "Mary and Witch's Flower" "Innocence" that Walt Disney Japan released last year corresponded to HDR 10 +. Mary was released in March last year, Innocence was released in June last year, it was not publicly announced as HDR 10 + correspondence so far. The fact that was sealed is the appearance which was revealed this time.

"...does the DNR erase any noise?"

Still resembles putting lipstick on a pig. Now you can get this over processed shite mapped as best as it can!

Well without a compatible video chain (TV+Player), there was no way anybody could have known back then

HDR10+ is sounding more and more like a complete joke.

Say what you want about the early issues with Dolby Vision, at least there's a clear direction with the format.

But there's been HDR10+ on two titles for almost a year now, and we're just NOW finding out.

This whole process is ****ed.

It's starting to be adopted into more and more hardware, and discs are starting to come out, but NOW it's a joke? Come on.
