I just saw this last night. I enjoyed it a lot, easily my favorite of the Transformers movies. I'm a huge Hailee Steinfeld fan, so it was a pleasure watching her be awesome.

The trite high school drama stuff was really the only thing I actively disliked in the movie, any other complaints were small and not worth mentioning.

The autobots and decepticons in this movie looked awesome, and it was shot in a way that was much easier to watch than previous Transformers movies. I could actually tell what was going on, so that was a nice change of pace.

I'll definitely be picking this up on UHD.

Best Buy has this now for store pick up. I went ahead and placed my order. Not sure at this point if they will offer a steelbook or not. But at $29.99 4K is not a horrible price.

Same here. I may cancel my Best Buy order. I don't think Best Buy will go this low on this movie. At least the price will be locked in.

Does anyone know if it's safe to Pre-Order Bumblebee from Zoom UK in terms of Slipcovers? I've been stung by Universal titles from them in the past. For this reason I won't pre-order First Man from them.

Are Paramount titles also affected?

Not buying Bumblebee in the UK unless we get the 12 rated version, not the cut PG that was put out in cinemas.

Steelbook looks great but not for $10 more than the regular UHD.

I think not. Paramount often comes with a temporary cover to retailers quite early, and then the actual cover shows up a few weeks before release date.

I missed this news. What cuts were made? Where can I read about it? I can't believe that sort of stuff still happens in the UK.

[Show spoiler]ote: The following text may contain spoilers

BUMBLEBEE is a fantasy action film in which a robot takes refuge in a Californian town, where he is befriended by a teenage girl.

VIOLENCE
There are battles between the giant robots, in which they use powerful futuristic weapons and engage in hand-to-hand combat. The robots are occasionally damaged by weapons employed by human characters. There are additionally brief scenes in which humans are killed by robots, and which include men exploding in a shower of clear fluid. However, these scenes lack injury detail.

SEX
The film contains some mild sex references, including a scene in which a woman tells a man "You tried to sleep with my sister", and the man replies "Unsuccessfully".

INJURY DETAIL
There is brief limited injury detail in scenes in which humans are cut and bruised following encounters with the giant robots.

LANGUAGE
There is mild bad language (for example, 'shit', 'crap', 'balls', 'screwed', 'dumbass', 'freaking', 'damn', 'hell', 'God', 'Jesus').

In one scene, a mother wrongly suspects her young son's behavioural change is due to the influence of drugs.

There is also a brief comic scene in which a boy vomits following a chase scene.

Pieter missed the most pertinent part of that information

Re-edited version. Film originally classified 12A in a different version on 22 November 2018.
But this wasn't BBFC nanny-state bullshit, this was purely a business decision from Paramount to lower the rating, as an uncut 12A was available to them. Fingers crossed that they won't care about having five year old Timmy badgering his mummy and daddy to buy him the 4K Blu-ray, so there's a good chance we'll get an uncut 4K I reckon...but I'm not preordering owt until we know for sure.

Huh, how about that. That really sucks for UK viewers. The movie was really enjoyable as-is.

I would be more willing to grab the steelbook if it was a 3D release, even with the lower rating. Oh well...

That BBFC page still doesn't detail what was actually edited out. I'm kinda thinking it's
[Show spoiler]Cliffjumper being sliced in half lengthwise
, but I'm pretty sure it passed fully uncut with a PG in New Zealand (Australia got a similarly edited version though).
