Huh, so the Amazon.com pre-orders are up for the Sidaris titles. They are getting individual releases, but they are listed as Mill Creek?? So I guess AGFA will not be releasing them under their own line. Mill Creek has been doing a little better with encoding and all that, so I am hopeful that the Blu-rays look and sound great.

I hope that's a mistake. There's plenty of companies more competent than Mill Creek that that could release it for them.

I was thinking it has to be a mistake too, but they have cover images up already. Odd decision.

And it's definitely the AGFA restoration.

Hard Ticket to Hawaii deserves Criterion level treatment.

They're definitely Mill Creek:

Mill Creek releasing them is a total bummer. Why not VS??? Why not AGFA themselves??

I guess the positive is that these are dirt cheap with a $19.99 MSRP.

The negative is probably zilch in the way of special features (an audio commentary of sort seems almost essential to put these films in the proper context).

They both say "fully loaded with special features".

So it sounds like you're getting the same content as an AGFA release, just with a lower SRP.

Hmmm...color me intrigued. Obviously, I was going to buy them no matter what, but this sweetens the deal. I hope more of his movies are planned for release.

Well, it doesn't seem like "zilch" in the way of special features, but not too exciting. The Mill Creek blurb says:
"Fully loaded with special features including Behind-the-Scenes featurettes and intro with director Andy Sidaris."
So there's something.

The "Andy Sidaris Collection" releases were pretty stacked with commentaries and documentaries, I bet they port over those at least.

The Sidaris films better come with English subtitles.

The original DVD releases had special features, the 12 film budget Girls, Guns and G-strings set that Mill Creek released recently only had introductions to the film, but the commentaries etc had been dropped. Currently there also hasn’t been any mention of those commentaries on the specs page, although it would be great if they were included.

I wouldn't be so sure of this. I just bought the Mill Creek releases of Dolemite and The Human Tornado and they have all the special features that VS put on their discs.

I'll buy any of Sidaris' films and even double and triple dip, but I desperately hope they release Stacey (1973). VHS is still the best we got.
