Sorry to be "that guy," but don't you mean Alan Silvestri?

I also appreciate a menu with a well-chosen score selection and a montage of clips (provided there are no spoilers for those who haven't seen the movie yet).

B&N can go **** itself with a rusty spork.

1. No, we have no idea when it will ship.
2. No, we have no idea why it hasn't shipped yet.
3. No, we can't cancel your order, because it's at the "processing" stage.
4. No, the fact that it's been "processing" for at least three days doesn't change this.
5. Yes, it's a dollar or two cheaper on Deep Discount, but LOL.
6. No, we have no idea why our store is struggling financially.

The only good experience I've had with B&N was when I had about a third of my Criterion sale order go missing for long enough that they refunded me, and it showed up anyway. And even that was a nightmare to sort through until I actually got the money.

Bloody useless, the lot of them.

7. No, we won't ship it if your card declines.
8. No, this doesn't mean we can cancel your order.

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL **** IS THIS SHIT? Does this mean my best strategy is to buy it from DD and make sure my account is always empty?

Got mine last night from Amazon (in unblemished shape, despite the bubble mailer)-- this is just an outstanding release. An early contender for my best of 2019 has emerged.

I would love so much to order from DD and put my card on hold right now, but I have a pending order with Amazon...

Today, my copy of Waterworld is slated to arrive...and while that is not newsworthy in and of itself, the day started out in a torrential downpour and hasn't let up. How fantastically appropriate.

Why not order it elsewhere, then if the B&N copy arrives just return it to a store.

Could be coincidental, but I feel like my packages arrive less damaged these days when Amazon uses their own delivery service. Mine also was in a bubble mailer but arrived safely.

Everything about the new scan/remaster looks great, except the way too saturated and fake-looking blues. The ocean borders on purple a lot of the time, with too much red in the image. I guess it could be argued that it's our world but altered, which might change the ocean color, but it was never that way theatrically in 1995. This is one case where a little more teal and less red would've made a huge improvement. Otherwise, top notch.

I'm still drying off from last night

You'll be happy. Make sure to put the Ulysses cut in and be amazed by how much better the world is with Jack Black and Miles Davis in it!

Ehh... I can agree with you there a bit. The water is less green and more blue here which isn't really true to life, but I'm not going to nitpick such an awesome release of one of my fav's. I considered buying the previous release countless times, but after seeing all of these caps, I am more than happy that I waited for this one. The old version looks like there's dirt covering the print with how yellow it is.

You can bet I'm gonna watch this movie the moment it arrives.

I could nit pick a few things about color and contrast but I'm not going to bother here. Boy do those caps show how orangey junk the previous timing was.

If you used a credit card contact the credit card company and they will cancel it for you. A bank will do the same. If the money has already been drawn out of your account they will refund you too. Then order from somewhere else.

I'm disinclined to cancel it through the bank after it's shipped; that's essentially fraud. I can put a hold on my card, but that means my pending Amazon order will fail. Not sure if they'll let me pre-emptively block just B&N, but it's the middle of the night here.

Just tell your bank what the B&N customer service told you. That they are being uncooperative and you dont know when or even if it will ship. My bank will actually deal with it on their own. They refund the money to me and they deal with the retailer and anything that follows. They can also block individual charges without disabling the card entirely. Your bank should have a 24 hour customer service line. Just try to get in contact with them. Also if it does ship after the charge is refunded or canceled you can refuse the package when it arrives and it will go back to B&N.
