One item at $9.99 = $8.00 shipping.
I've never had a problem getting to $50 on any orders. Kino is a volume-oriented label with scores of releases, so I don't have a problem with the free shipping threshold at $50.

Lots of great titles in the sale in which there should be no problem getting free shipping if you live in the US, but I'm strapped for cash during the sale period. I will have and wait for the sale in March.

From René Clément, the legendary director of Forbidden Games, Purple Noon, The Deadly Trap and And Hope to Die comes this stylish thriller starring screen legend Charles Bronson (Cold Sweat, Mr. Majestyk). When a beautiful young woman (Marlène Jobert, We Won’t Grow Old Together) in the South of France is stalked and then assaulted by a mysterious masked assailant, she kills the man in self-defense, and in a moment of misjudgment, she dumps his corpse over a cliff into the sea instead of calling the police. Trying to return to her life before the attack, her world is turned upside down when an American investigator (Bronson) shows up and, to her horror, seems to know everything about what she has done. Rider on the Rain showcases fine performances both from Bronson, whose mix of sympathy and aggression perfectly defines his character, and Jobert, who gains audience empathy with her touch of sexuality mixed with an innate, almost childlike innocence. Featuring a haunting and beautiful score by Francis Lai (Love Story) with wonderful supporting performances by Gabriele Tinti (Cannon for Cordoba) and Jill Ireland (Breakheart Pass). This special edition includes both the 114-minute U.S. cut and the 118-minute French cut.

I can't wait to see this! I think I read somewhere that this was Charles Bronson's favorite movie that he worked on, is this correct?

I'm thinking The Brink's Job.
I wish.

But I'm thinking this might be a case where the film that would have been a smart fit for another label (Mary- because of the John Barry score), was probably just stuck by Universal in the package of films Kino got.

Brink's is a great, vastly underrated movie that just doesn't get any real affection by the studio despite a name director and a marvelously engaging cast of likable character actors. It was a bit of a flop during the Superman Christmas '78 release which might account for the way the studio has viewed it ever since.
It took years to eek out even an MOD release.

I would love to be wrong though.

Count me in for An Innocent Man! Disappointed that Selleck didn’t chime in on this film. Love F. Murray in this too.

The logic behind Mary being with TT isn't the score though. TT released Anne of the Thousand Days not too long ago and Universal previously released the two films as a double feature on DVD.

Hell's Angels would be nice since the aerial combat is top notch and its the only film with Harlow that has her in color albeit small parts of the film, but it would be coming from someone other than KL. I believe they said there were no films in the Universal deal before 32 or 33.

Awww yeah. I love An Innocent Man. It's a surprisingly brutal flick.

I already have the Mill Creek but i'll dump that sucker in an instant for a proper 1080p presentation with subtitles, extras and the 5.1 track.

It amuses me greatly that Tom Selleck's 'An Innocent Man' is getting a commentary track from a film historian . That's all kinds of awesome. Nice one Kino!

Excited for An Innocent Man. Shame no Selleck involvement but glad Kino scored David Rasche who plays a great sleazy villain. I’ll happily be retiring my copy from Mill Creek.

I am thinking The Brink's Job also. Kino has worked with Friedkin on other titles recently and has established a working relationship. He may want to participate in this title also too. Plus, it seems like a title Kino would distribute.

Nothing against TT (I support all the boutique labels in these sad, streaming times) but I am really, really happy Kino is getting all of these Charles Bronson films. I can't wait to get these 2 and will probably end up getting most if not all of the future releases. Thanks Kino !!

This rules out The Eagle and the Hawk for the 1933 film.

Whatever the reason (and I suspect it's that there's only an old VHS master for Lancaster's cut), it's a real shame because both Aldrich and Lancaster's cuts of Ulzana's Raid are worthwhile, and there are some significant differences in what they choose to include and exclude to tell the same story in the same running time.

I have the Mill Creek disc is it really presented in 1080i? the back cover states 1080p.

I like the film but the Mill Creek disc did the job for me I don't mind the 1080i transfer if that is the case. Me personally, I am satisfied with the Mill Creek disc and I only got it for a buck.

It does sound like this will be the better version of the film on Blu-ray though so please indulge.
