I just heard on fox news that Rihanna had a bloody nose, several scratches and a black eye that were 'clearly visible' when she arrived at the hospital. Chris Brown allegedly hit Rihanna with his fists and bit her during the alleged incident, which took place around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

this is looking worse and worse. And while i truly believe in innocent until proven guilty, This is looking like Chris Brown all around. It's despicable. I can't wait to hear the spin that attorneys will try and put on this. I have already heard rumblings of 'Chris brown was raised in a violent home' etc..

What are you talking about? No one has said anything like that here. Everyone has said it's a disgusting act wether the woman is a famous superstar or some random person no one has ever heard of.

Oh damn, if that's true.

Well, I just read on variety that they don't actally know much about the incident, other than Chris assulting Rihanna and fleeing the scene. However, if this update is true, I really do hope Chris pays the price.

Exactly. What Chris Brown did is bad, not matter who it was he hit, this whole situation is bad. He hit a woman, doesn't matter if she's famous or not, it matters a lot. If it turns out now that it truly was Rihanna, then shame on Brown. But same goes even if it wasn't her. I didn't mean to take the focus off the actual situation here, I was just simply stating my opinion on how the media, as usual, is making this seem like it's one way when it hasn't been confirmed that it is.

I heard a report on the radio that alledges he beat her because she gave him herpes. It also alledged that she contracted the disease from Jay-Z. It's not a justification. The only justification for hitting another person, male or female, is self defense.

they're more out in the public and should behave at a higher standard because of it.

Incredibly it’s also claimed on various blogs that rap superstar Jay Z gave Rihanna herpes in the first place.

All these claims seem unlikely though and website MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that these stories are false.

In other developments the same website says Rihanna is now refusing to co-operate with police.

It’s also reported that the real reasons for their fight was that Chris wanted to end their relationship but Rihanna didn’t.
I would've guessed that last part would be the other way around.

They're both 19 and on top of the music world right now. Hopefully it all gets sorted out soon and handed properly. It's quite sad to see people self-destruct.

This is the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Just because someone's life is exposed by a bunch of nosey reporters doesn't mean they have to live "at a higher standard."

Everyone's standards are their own. If this guy wants to beat on his girlfriend, so be it. He'll pay the price. I don't care one way or the other. And I don't care that some swimmer smokes pot. And I don't care that some baseball player abused drugs. Unless it directly affects me, I don't care. Life is too short to be even wasting my time on such nonsense.

And I didn't realize celebrity was a choice. Man, you think if that was the case, we'd have a lot more celebrities in the world. But we don't. You know why? It's not a choice. If it was, everyone and their uncle would choose to be celebrities.

Please think before you speak.

They chose to put out cds for millions of people to hear. They choose to go on tour for millions of people to see them. They choose to accept endorsement deals for millions of dollars. So yes, when they are willingly putting themselves in the public eye, and they know they are admired by thousands and thousands of children, they should live their lives at a higher standard, and act like they appreciate everything that has been handed to them on a silver platter simply because they can sing, or they can play a sport, or they can act well. With every job comes some responsibility, famous people should be no different. Maybe you should also think before you speak.

Also, if it doesn't directly affect you, who cares? Remember that if some sort of tragedy ever strikes you or your family, and millions of people say "who cares".
