I thought their first UHD release would be The Good, the Bad and the Ugly but hey I'm into this.

They've stated before that if their first two UHDs (Hannibal and one planned for the Summer) sell good enough they'll release a Dollars UHD box set in the Fall.

Never did pick up the Hannibal Blu even though I enjoyed the film. Now I have a reason to purchase.

Definitely getting Hannibal Day One; hope everyone else does too, to support the label moving into 4K... If no one buys it, they probably won't do it again.

Pipe dream but Kino Lorber does have the rights to 1492: Conquest Of Paradise, provided Paramount offered a 4K scan to them a UHD release would be possible I suppose if they wanted to do it. Maybe or maybe not.

Glad to see Kino Lorber getting into the UHD game finally. I have the Blu-ray steelbook for Hannibal from Zavvi so I will gladly upgrade to the UHD version.

Hoping for a few more UHD titles to be announced eventually but yeah for now this is probably it.

Kino Lorber does always offer high quality Blu-ray releases, but UHD/BD releases are always welcome.

Just glad they are now into releasing UHD's, this is good news.

Slightly disagree on that one point LOL but yes more UHD releases are always welcome.

Glad Kino is jumping on the UHD bandwagon.

Other than 1492: Conquest Of Paradise and Hannibal I don't think Kino Lorber has many of Ridley Scott's films in their catalogue.

I didn't even know they had Hannibal till the UHD/BD was announced today.

I forgot about The Interpreter but I'll give them a pass for that (could have been Universal's fault).

Yes, definitely very pleasing news that Kino is jumping on the UHD bandwagon.

One release at a time though...let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

The silence has been broken... Dark, absorbing and entertaining, this follow-up to The Silence of the Lambs is an audacious success. Screen legend Anthony Hopkins (Nixon) is perverse perfection in his return to the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter, the sophisticated killer who comes out of hiding to draw FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore, Far from Heaven) into a high-stakes battle that will test her strength, cunning... and loyalty. Meanwhile, the good doctor’s only surviving victim plots a particularly nasty revenge. Drenched in baroque terror and hair-raising visuals, Hannibal is as compelling as it is shocking. Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, The Martian) served up this smash-hit thriller from a screenplay by David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross) and Steven Zaillian (Schindler’s List), based on the bestselling novel by Thomas Harris (Red Dragon). Ray Liotta (Unforgettable), Giancarlo Giannini (Seven Beauties) and Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) round out the delectable cast.

That's an excellent choice. I've wanted to see this and Red Dragon for a long time. I'll be picking up the regular BluRay as I haven't gone 4K.

Judging by the artwork, it's a combo pack. Why do we have to choose?

I've been BarnDoor for this mystery title for months in the UHD wishlist thread.
[Show spoiler]

Now it's time to speculate for the second one...my money is on "Charley Varrick".
