The original replacements sent out weren't actual replacements but the same disc. Some kind of mix-up. If you got the actual replacement you're good.

How can you tell? Mine was included with the order from Diabolik, but I ordered soon after the replacement was confirmed to be included with the order.

When I got my replacement discs I compared them and there was a noticeable difference in the audio quality; especially when there was an increase in the pitch (fight scenes - talking scenes were fine unless someone was yelling). The original had an echo that sounded like paper tearing when hits were being landed. Just skip to the fight scenes and you will know. Its not something you have to strain your ears to hear. If you play it at a reasonable volume and sit back, it is still noticeable. The hits still sound rough on the replacement disc but there is no follow-up scratchy/tearing echo.

Does the audio sound terrible? If it does, then you need a replacement.

Nah... you should be good. Just check you disc to be 1000% sure. The recall was a bit of a nightmare but we got it all fixed. If not, hit up customer service.

That Sunrise price is the best I've seen.

Which by the way... I made a list of all of the Canadian retailers and gave it to our sales rep. Making and effort to get more product to Canada. Hopefully it will improve in the future. Your suggestions really helped.

Both my Nemesis and Double Dragon came with pretty beat up slipcovers, with similar type of damage. This something happening as the the factory?

NEMESIS is one of the best Blu-rays in recent memory. Also, it was a first time watch for me and I absolutely loved it. Super cool movie, that kind of which just isn't made anymore.

I hope that is a successful title for MVD. It's a killer release.

Looking forward to the sequel disc.

Is this actual damage or are you talking about the fake "wear and tear" look we do with the slips?

If you received actual damaged merch you should contact the retailer and exchange. They never leave our warehouse damaged. I've seen how they handle and pack product there and they are super mindful.

Where did you order it from, and why would you assume it's factory?

Both of mine were perfect, and I actually got one from amazon.

Deep Discount, same warehouse that serves B&N, Blow it Outta Here, etc.

I assumed it was factory because they are both damaged in the same places, in the same way, and it looks like a weird type of damage to get in the mail. Looks more like the machine screwed up putting the slipcover on or something (multiple deep thin creases across both spines). Usually don't get this type of damage (or any damage) from the deep discount mailers and it happened twice in row, both MVD Rewind titles that were released consecutively.

Nah its real damage. The prob is w/ DEEP DISCOUNT is they don't offer exchanges, only refund. So would lose sale price, and takes up to 30 day for refund. Will have to see if I can find same price elsewhere.

I've had some issues with Deep Discount like this before. Call their customer service. State how it came damaged and you want a new one sent out. They will send one out and then make you send the damaged one back. They will also give you a return label.
You just have to call and ask for this, otherwise yes its typically a refund.
I've also made them give me the sale price if something oddly gets cancelled from my order.
Just be adamant when you call that you want the movie and not a refund.
