I found the movie a bit long, not my style but I sure love the speech at the end by Matthew McConaughey when he's talking to the jury, that part alone make's it a mazing movie.

I will probably not buy this, not a movie I will want to watch again but will probably look amazing on BD

Again that speech at the end is just amazing, anyone who as not seen this movie, rent it at least just for that.

haha as did I....he always has a movie with the word kill in it:

Hard to Kill

Kill Switch

Out for a Kill

Today You Die <- which doesn't have the word "kill" in it but implies there will be lots of killing

Marked for Death <- see above

It also has a pretty impressive cast... Sam Jackson, Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Kevin Spacey, Ashley Judd, Oliver Platt, Kiefer Sutherland

and Will Patton has a brief but very memorable scene as the cop at the Hospital - he's the cat's meow

wow! just got done watching it. What a powerful movie. I can see the complaints of how it may be a little long(haven't watched it in a few years), I don't think the ending would have been as dramatic if they cut some scenes to make it shorter, so it was all worth it. Acting was incredible throughout the whole film. One of my favorites!

Sort of bland and predictable - it is distinguished from a TV Movie of the Week by its cast (including the late Patrick McGoohan if memory serves), but otherwise, not much to write home about.

A Time to Kill on Blu-ray is one of the better transfers of a film more than 10 -years old put to 1080P. It looks quite flawless. Detail is exceptional - so much so that I was anticipating some edge-enhancement but I could find no evidence - even zooming in extensively. Colors look true and vibrant, while contrast is pristine. Light balances playfully on the characters prevalent sweat (abundant in the film) and there is occasional depth. Truly, I can find nothing to complain about - it is neither glossy nor flat. Technically it reveals a reasonable bitrate with the disc data filling almost 35 Gig of the dual-layered disc. The image allows for a consistent and seemingly accurate presentation of A Time to Kill that is immensely impressive in motion. Warner, utilizing the VC-1 encode produced a magnificent image with this transfer.
Thanks for the info. It just arrived so hopefully I'll get a chance to watch it tonight. I'm really looking forward to it since I haven't seen it in quite a while.

Yeah, I had to get it from Amazon. Couldn't find it locally on Tuesday (yesterday). Amazingly, it only took a day to arrive from Amazon (ordered yesterday morning and it arrived today around 4:15pm).
