Look, I love the original Nightmare on Elm Street...but my favorite of the series, my go to, is Freddy’s Revenge. It’s so delightfully 80’s in the best way. More than any of the sequels. It’s goofy at times, but I love it.

I can understand why some may hate it though. Its plot is clunky and the acting and dialogue is... average, for the most part, but Freddy? Best iteration of the character. His appearance, his presence, his tone. It’s the most frightening and menacing version of the character. After this, he got progressively more and more slapstick.

It is very unintentionally funny in places but I find that to be true of the first movie just as much.

Well, I was trying to be nice because there have been a few I enjoyed like the first two Superman movies with Christopher Reeve and a couple more.
